Ah, instrumentals are just awesome. Well most of the time. I mean a lot of the ones I heard are competent at best but not so great. They have to be real good to hold your attention or else they are usually skipped over. SO which are your favorites?

This is my favorite, awesome neo-classical solo through most of the song:

In Flames WERE awesome at instrumentals:

This would be an awesome intro:

And lastly one of my favorite acoustic songs:

'Jordan' or 'Final wars' by Buckethead.
Buckethead has way better songs. Soothsayer trilogy for instance. Not saying that those arent awesome songs.
OT: teeth of a cogwheel, Stonesphere, Rundgang Um Die Transzendental, Mind transferal, the whole album 'Enter' by russian circles, album "omns" by lichens

"Theme of Laura", "Love Psalm" and "Promise" from the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack are great, as well as "Call of Cthulu" and "Orion" by Metallica.

Peaches En Regalia by Frank Zappa has to be one of the best instrumentals, if not songs, ever.
QTF. That song is now stuck in my head, thank you :p
I also enjoy Russian Circles - Death Rides A Horse [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2-hJtJrXxc]. Great battle or raiding song, imo :)

I generally prefer instrumentals over songs with vocals. Vocals have a way of getting old after a while. Music can be replayed and looped and still be fresh. Air and Aphex Twin, for example, are two artists I listen to a lot, but I also like hip-hop instrumental artists like Eliot Lipp's song Rap Tight [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puunw6YEHIA]. Raymond Scott, Igor Stravinsky, the list goes on.

The only instrumental to ever be banned in the US. Music to stab people to.
Why the hell was it banned? Exactly how can it be justified to ban an instrumental if it has no lyrics ? What the hell were they thinking?????
