For me, Drive just did not only exceed my expectations it went even further. The director, actors, editor, and the guy who does the lighting gave it their 110%.

The only thing left to come out this year that i have interest in seeing is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

what is your favorite movie of 2011?

Wait, movies came out this year? Huh. Last thing I've seen in a theater was Inception, last last summer.

Senna.

Incredibly well made, and brought up such incredible emotions, a brilliant, moving film (doco).

So far, it's gotta be <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.321674-Marter-to-the-Movies-Moneyball>Moneyball. Closely followed by a couple of others, but I'm going with Moneyball as my favorite so far.

Haven't seen many this year... none in the theater. But my favorite of those I did see was Captain America.

This + Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Kung Fu Panda 2 (easily the best thing Dreamworks animation has made since the first Shrek)

My favorite movie? When they re-released Ghostbusters 1 in theaters in October. I'm holding of on saying Muppets until I see it.

Uhh....
I really liked The Guard, an Irish black comedy that was really well done.
I also enjoyed Sucker Punch, Captain America, and True Grit
(Hey, I saw it in 2011, when it was still in theaters. It counts!)

idk... i feel 2011 wasnt a really good year for movies...... so i guess Super, Deathly Hallows pt2 and 13 Assassins.

Super was funny as hell and really cool story with some funny/cool action.
Deathly Hallows 2 was awesome.
13 Assassins started off really really slow, but the last hour of that movie was awesome.

I Am Number Four.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA no.

The Source Code got surprisingly forgotten, and I don't have the slightest idea why. It seems like that was the only truly smart movie I saw this year.

Scratch that, First class and hp were awesome too.
Make that 3 smart movies for the year.
Congratulations Hollywood, you continue to stun.

Sadly, I don't make many trips to the cinema, but I really liked Sucker Punch. And out of personal opinion, loved Hobo with a Shotgun. Source Code was awesome too.
Still need to watch a load of the better Blockbusters that came out this year like X-Men: First Class and the last HP film.

I seldom watch movies, though I did borrow X-men Origins which I believe came out this year. That makes it both my favorite and most loathed movie of 2011.

I didn't like it quite as much as X-men or X-men 2 but it was a good popcorn flick just the same.

That's such a hard decision, but I thought Transformers 3 was pretty good. I'll probably end up adding more than half of these Blockbuster films to my dvd library! :(

Captain America, which was basically what I want all blockbusters to be(wierd editing aside.), X-Men FC, which was by FAR the best X-men movie so far, or source code, which was a very smart, entertaining movie that didn't give me a cliff hanger(Why does almost EVERY freaking "smart" movie have to have a freaking cliffhanger.) (Drive gets an honorable mention.)
