Whether it's the rusty dagger, handgun, or level 1 grunts, there's always a starter weapon in the player's arsenal when they start out. However, some starter weapons rise above the norm with rather ingenious functions or just looking plain cool. For example, the painkiller from Painkiller is a rather interesting instrument of death, looking like a cross between an upside down trumpet stand and a weed hacker. The Blades of Chaos in God of War are also a rather awesome starter. Throwing giant flame covered swords attatched with chains while eviscerating and decapitating significant members of Greek mythology never gets old. What's your favorite starter weapon?
