I'd have to go with either the Borg or the Necrons. Both are grand, nigh unknowable collectives with an unrelenting desire to complete their respective tasks of universal assimilation and Extermination. Then again, I might lean more towards the Hedoth, leaving their technology scattered in ancient 'ruins' for some unwitting species to find and reverse-engineer. The Corponations fell for it, and the Hedoth returned to claim their new servants and empires.
