Hello from my summer holiday fellow Escapists!
I'm currently stopping round a few places in America, and I've visited a mix of horrible places I'd never recommend (Florida Everglades: Come for the views, run from the mosquitos and vultures) and really nice places, which got me thinking about places I'd recommend to go on holiday.

Where, out of anywhere you've been on holiday, would you most recommend?
Conversly, out of interest, where would you least recommend?

Dreams, no better place than that (most of the time).

Well for real, i'd say New Zealand is a winner, such beauty doesn't exist in many places.
As for the least favourable place... Irak (not that i've ever been there):>

The USA was my favourite holiday of all time. I went to New York (specifically Manhattan) and it was just amazing, put every single square inch of Britain to shame. NYC is definitely the single greatest place I've ever been to; to anyone who lives there: you don't know how lucky you are. Same holiday, also went to Philadelphia, which was pretty dull, and D.C., which was nice enough, still nicer than the UK

My least favourite was the Greek island of Lesvos (yes, where 'lesbian' comes from) and it was rancid and hot and the people were so damn rude and aggressive

I've only ever been to Spain, Germany and France, and France was the best of them, but, if I could choose the place I wanted to go but had never been to, it'd be Bora Bora.

If its for a short haul trip, then I love Italy. I especially like Rome, just too cool to ignore.

For a long haul, as of last month, my favourite place is Japan. I miss the energy and the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, its like missing an arm.

Been to Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Spain and recently China.

Didn't really like France, Norway and Sweden are good for skiing, and China was weird but awesome (and my favourite). :)

I have been to Florida well at a place called Palm Beach (I got relatives there) and I've been to Hong Kong and China twice. I prefer Florida since the other places were more of a heritage learning experiences (by all mean it's still fun but it frustrate me now understanding what other people are saying).

For me, Pensacola Florida is always a good place to vacation, nice clean beach and tons of activities within walking distance of your hotel.

I <3 Pensacola

I was in Paris around Christmas.
The city is beautiful year round, but during winter it's just breath-taking.

Probably Cefalu`, Sicily in Italy. It has a beach that actually has sand, it's got retarded amounts of history, and it has an awesome nightclub (Maljck). The place is really active during the summer season with tourists from all over Italy and Europe.

A Hermit's Cave
I'm not all that well travelled, but were I to choose, then Australia. Plenty to see, and Hobart isn't that bad.

As for worst: Hong Kong. Sure, I'm Hong Kong Chinese, but the place is a shithole (no disrespect), the pollution's terrible, it's humid all year round, the people are grimy and there's little to nothing to see.
