I did search this, if someone has done this before, I apologise.

What is your favourite in-game city?

Mine has got to be Twilight Town from Kingdom Hearts 2, everything there is just so pretty.

Nice topic.

I'd go with.. Puerto Pollo from Curse of Monkey Island. Watching the sea while listening to its soundtrack.

Chimara from Scrapland. I love the high-tech future look. Or maybe The magic city from Dreamfall, I liked the steampunk look. Haven city from Jak II was realy nice, probably enhanced by the great soundtrack and the Krimson Gaurd.

Actually, does anybody know of any other games which take place in huge futuristic cities?

I'm not sure what it's called, but whereever Phoenix Wright is set. There's never a dull moment, although chances are if you live there you'll die eventually - unless, of course, you're a main character.

The City from Thief (They never actually gave the city a name, just called it 'the city' throughout all three games).

The ultimate mix of steampunk technology and medieval magic. All the comforts of a proper heating and sewage system with the perks of still being able to pew pew with the magic in a pseudo-medieval setting against knights and the like. Only problem is I'd have to watch out for thieves.

But if that fails I'd be more than happy with New Reno from Fallout 2.

Drugs, hookers, gangsters and porn! I doubt I'd last long, but at least my final days would be happy ones. I'd probably end up like that one drunken sex crazed priest!

Paradise City, from stunt-racing masterpiece Burnout: Paradise.

Such a great game.

Other than that, I'd like to nominate every single city in Oblivion and Morrowind, and City 17 from Half Life 2.

Santa Destroy in No More Heroes, the only city in which you are paid to carry around coconuts.

Well, not as much a city as a country, but Mulgore in WoW was made absolutely fantastically well. I'd so live there.

Man this is a hard one! Let's see... I guess Vice City? No. Liberty? Nah... San Andreas? Oh, that's not a city! Think... City 17, I guess. Oh shit, it was blown up :(

Anvil, in Oblivion. A sea side city, with a nice haunted house to call my own! What more could I ask for?

"I am Andrew Ryan, and I'm here to ask you a question: Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? No, says the man in Washington. It belongs to the poor. No, says the man in the Vatican. It belongs to God. No, says the man in Moscow. It belongs to everyone. I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture."

I really liked the Nord town in Oblivion, I can't remember it's name now though :( But it had a really nice feel to it, and I liked all of the Viking style log houses, and the fact that my stealth/ ninja character could jump along the rooftops at night whilst doing their nefarious deeds :D
