That scene that grips you, makes you tear, pisses you off, etc.

Here's one of mine (if you care to watch, skip to 6:42). It's from the German film Downfall about Adolf Hitler's last days. In this scene, a father tries to convince his son to abandon his post and come home. It captures the futility and desperation of the citizenry, as well as the contrast between those who believe in victory and those who know the war is over.

Get rid of that www.

Honestly, the opening to the new Star Trek was pretty damn heavy. A great way to introduce newcomers to what they thought was rubber aliens sitting around a table and debating.

This scene will haunt my thoughts on life forever.
Pretty self-explanatory fun and excitement.

Both are also true stories.

One out of many. I guess this one could count as one too.

When we found out he's a clone.

So many to choose from!

Here's a small and very incomplete list:
Batoru Rowaiaru: The lighthouse shootout.
Black Swan: Her performance as the Black Swan.
Bon Cop, Bad Cop: The bilingual discussion about tattoos and helicopters.
Clerks: Stupid customer montage.
Collateral: The club.
Enemy at the Gates: Pinned down in the warehouse.
Full Metal Jacket: Boot camp.
Jurassic Park: Meeting the Tyrannosaur.
Kerd Ma Lui: The Hostage Uprising.
Mallrats: Chocolate Covered Pretzels.
Perfect Blue: Mima's revenge against the photographer.
Pulp Fiction: The restaurant.
Rejected: The finale.
Reservoir Dogs: Like a Virgin and tipping.
Shaun of the Dead: Queen.
Snatch: Bare Knuckle Boxing match.
Thank You For Smoking: The classroom.
The Cart Boy: The finale.
The Dark Knight: The Joker's Trap, Arrest, Interrogation, and Escape.
The Departed: The title montage.
The Island: The highway chase.
The Matrix: The lobby shootout.
There Will Be Blood: The baptism.

There are many, many more. I just cannot pick a favourite, or even a most defining moment.

Best quality one I could find.

EVERYTHING here works: the music is magnificent, the visual effects flawless and the pay off is seeing Optimus Prime transform in all his glory. I simply wish I could erase Megan Fox from the proceedings since she just has that vapid empty look on her face.

This scene meant something to me, it really did.

The scene in Shawshank Redemption where Andy plays the opera record over the loudspeaker. The acting on everyones part, the direction, the music, the voiceover by Morgan Freeman, it all comes together so beautifully. It still gives me goosebumps every time.

One that immediately pops into my head is the bowling alley scene from "There Will Be Blood" - not only did it manage to completely and irrevocably change the way I perceive milkshakes, but Day-Lewis' performance in that last scene left me speechless; it was mind-bendingly brilliant, and it's nice that he was awarded for such a damn fine job.

And, as a fun fact: those were actual bowling balls he was throwing at Paul Dano. Apparently Day-Lewis insisted on it, in order to preserve the authenticity of the scene. For whatever reason, this made Paul Dano uncomfortable...I can't imagine why O_O

The lesbian scene in Black Swan's pretty good

So many to choose from... V's entrance in V for Vendetta, the corridor fight in Oldboy, the first 10 minutes of Up, the furnace scene and the ending of Toy Story 3...

Every scene from pulp fiction and kill bill...

And... The ending of Annie Hall. It's so bitter sweet it feels like I'm drowning in fresh lemonade
