Do you ever find yourself randomly inserting a reference or in-joke into your daily life, be it on the web or in the middle of a conversation? Is there a line from a movie you always quote? Do you post links to a certain clip as often as you possibly can? Do you reference a certain video game at every opportunity?

Well, I know I do. I seem to reference Resident Evil an awful lot, especially anything said by Barry. And I take every available opportunity to make a shout out to The Wizard Of Oz.

But, for simplicity, I'd have to say my favourite completely random joke is any variation on this:

"What? No!" Bwahaha. Cracks me up every time.

There was some other movie that I wish I could remember where a female character did the "What? No!" in exactly the same tone, just like that, completely unintentionally, and, I swear, I have never laughed so fucking hard in all my life. If I ever find where that is from, I just want to create a mash up of both characters saying, "What? No!" to each other back and forth.

I constantly reference team fortress 2 or old, obscure song lyrics whenever I can.

The former comes from my love of the game, the latter comes from the fact that it's something my mother has always done constantly.

Every time I visit my Grandad, he's all too delighted to remind me about The Fields of Athenry, or the Scorn of his Simplicity.

Anyway, I know this isn't exactly what the OP asked, but every time I mess up, I always get the Rayman 1 "game over" theme running through my head.

Oh no... do you realise how many portal fans are going to go:

"herp derp the cake is a lie? derp herp"

Shame on you OP, Shame on you.

But i like to reference GATTACA
"We have to get drunk immediately"

Or Fight Club, the book
"Too much estrogen gives you ***** tits"

Or pretty much anything from the movie hot rod.

Yes and they are usually from random movies or Ross Noble shows. I can't help but shout "I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE" occasionally.

When people tend to list things I go "By your powers combined, I am (insert name here)".

This too;

I know it's over done but I reference Family Guy a lot - mainly little lines Peter says that, unless you already knew it was from Family Guy, you wouldn't guess like "Of course, of course", or "...perhaps..." or "Good for you, good for you."

Peep Show is used a lot but that is more quoting than referencing I think. When we were at a club the other night my mate did come up to me and say "I'm not going to do a poo, am I?"

I'm sure there are a lot of things I subconsciously reference when I talk, because I am that nerdy.

I use a line coined by Ashens a lot when I say goodbye to people. I stand up and say, "Stay fresh, Cheesebags!" before walking away.

I reference a lot of other things too, but that was just one of the top of my head.

I make up reasons to quote Invader Zim.
Poor...Everyone I know.
GIR! Why is there bacon in the soap?!

My wife and I tend to answer random inquiries with 'to make room for the tuna!' or 'to make room for the cupcakes!' And the line referenced above and its reply are a constant in-joke among our crew. So you're not alone.

Oh, and my son has taken to random quotes from Ultimate Spidey's jabs at Electro in Shattered Dimensions. 'Dude, cover your shame!' or '... and no pants!' are favorites of his. And the two of us have been known to cover the entire dialogue between Deathspank and the obnoxious orphan for no good reason.

EDIT - And it goes without saying for most older nerds, but random Python is just expected.

"The MEDICINE!"
from after you have beaten Grey fox in Metal Gear Solid, he shakes wildly and scream out The medicine in a weird voice, so every time i see or hear the word medicine i must deliver that line in that voice
It freaked out my psychologist when i saw a book labeled Medicine in large letters on her shelf, especially since im from Norway and I was suddenly speaking English

"THAT! IS!! NOT!!! MY!!!! COW!!!!!"

I'm not even kidding you when I say that is the most powerful battle cry I've ever seen in a story. I have not found a proper situation to use it in though.

Yeah. Jesus. I've seen it being referenced a million times and only once has it ever been funny.

Sorry incorrect, but I could actually see the character who says it getting along with Bender very much, they have the same oppinions on fleshy humans and love beer. A clue it's from a retardly fun comic, from a relatively acclaimed author.

Ross Noble shows.
I had the pleasure of seeing the man live once!
I've seen him thrice, but wish it were only twice. The first two were the funniest shows I've ever seen in my life and I will remember how humerous they were for decades, the last however I saw more recently he just wasn't as funny, he relied on swearing as a punchline too much, he made a really poor taste joke about a blind person in the front row and got really pissed off (swearing in a non funny manner) by a photographer his own management had arranged. It was uncomfortable to watch and made worse by the fact I knew how much better he used to be.
