I just discovered this beauty by the grateful dead and it reminded me that when music is great, fuck is it great!

So what songs are the best in your opinion?

My favorite song changes often, I have an occasionally expanding list of songs that I wholeheartedly think are awesome though.

I always love hearing this song in particular, very good when you want to stare into the middle distance an contemplate a hard task:

Depends.

Favorite song of all time, probably this:

Right now, a song that I just can't get enough of and appreciate on every level?

Probably this:

Absolutely sublime.

Sounding good so far, didnt know that dire straits song and its great, cheers for that

Gotta give an honorable mention to walk on the wild side. Once i pulled alongside a cop at some lights smoking a joint with this blaring out the speakers. I put on my sun glasses and blazed off into the distance, doesnt get much better then that, thanks for that one lou reed.

Also hey by the pixies if you want something a bit more depressing.

Whilst they're not my favourite band (way too hit and miss), I do really, really love Everlong by the Foo Fighters.

I have a few ones I am rather keen on at the moment.

MONEY MAKIN'!!!

Best remix of any song ever, you can never get enough slams.

I really like 3 Inches of Blood's way of doing things in terms of overall favourite artists. Most of their songs lay out a narrative put across both in instramentals and vocals. The entire Advance and Vanquish album is AMAZING. All time favourite. Go.

Currently Letter Experiment by Periphery is my favourite song. It's just so incredibly awesome and is made even better as a Spartacus mashup:

It's hard for me to pick just a single song, when I could easily name dozens. However there is one song that always seemed so grand, epic and powerful to me:

But like I said, I could name dozens. I tend to not get wrapped up in the whole favourite band/album/song stuff too much.

Gotta agree, though i do usually have one song at a time that I see as the best, though it depends on my mood. Keep em coming, listening to them all

Daft Punk- One More Time is my all time favourite due to the fact it was that song that got me into dance music.

I've always been a fan of Holiday by Green Day, but my favorite song changes frequently.

Right now?

Threads generally take a few minutes to show up after you post them. Wait half an hour or so if it's not showing up, then try again. It works pretty consistently though.

OT:
Pfff, I dunno, ask me what I've been listening to recently. Changes all the time.

But, if I had to come up with some examples...
(Don't read the comments if you want to avoid spoilers)
Maybe it's the context of the song, maybe I just love TWD game, but it's a fantastically atmospheric song that only heightens how fucking badass the section it plays in is.

One of the few good things to come from France. Just... swagtastic.

Because fuck anyone who says otherwise. Rubberbandits are awesome.

It's just a nice song. I'm not gay, dammit.

Those instruments...dat nonsensical voice... just damn good.

Define 'songs' since I'm largely inclined to post either stuff without vocals or music that's pre-1900... -_-

Though for the sake of conformism...

Favourite song of all time? It would probably be this:

I just love it, the music, the lyrics, everything.

Why yes, I do enjoy much Johann Sebastian!! Listen to this and tell me baroque is emotionless! *grrr*

OK OK... this is 'classical romantic' more than anything else, piss off! -_-
