So i recently got into D&D, and for the most part, loved it. I have not laughed that hard in months. possibly years.

So yeah, the campaign only got a little bit in, most of us being noobs and on a 2 hour time frame after school, but i got my character done and some backstory. ^^

I was initially hoping to get the stats for a rogue, buuuut... i got the stats of a really idiotic warrior. As such, i named him Kratos the Fluffy. He roams around wearing half a bunny suit and has legs smoother than a bottle of jack daniels. He shows this off by not wearing any kind of underwear or pants. He was conceived by a poor and very ugly seamstress and a pig god. ^^ So yeah, his stats are average-horrible, but he has had amazing luck starting off. ^^. Just place the face of Kratos from God of War on a bunny suit and some female mannequin legs. Also, he was raised by bunnies.

So yeah, give a brief description of your first D&D character ;D and lets talk ^^ (I don't have the rules down entirely let... i'm a nub >.>)

The first character I made for myself was an elven ranger, Inabi Raycrest. He was a black elf. Not a drow, just an elf of the African-American persuasion. And he could crit like a mother--

A neutral-evil Half-elf Cleric of Nerrull.
Yep. I was an annoying little shit. Still am, but not to the extent I was back then.

When I played my first game, the group I was with was thoughtful for a second after I asked "what would suit me?" The response, in unison, "Paladin". So back in the bygone age of 1994 I made my first Human Paladin, Anduin, who would be the primary character I played all through High School and into my first year of college before I retired him. Good times.

my first character was a half elf cleric who had the alias "Remington Steel". He was raised by cougars (the old women not the cat) and was known for attacking people with sledge hammers and burned down 2 villages (they were kinda evil but still I was lawful good on paper). it was fun but i killed a lot of people ( couldn't kill a squirrel though)

Human wizard, uninventfully named after myself. He was killed by some Stirges at level 2.

I could probably get you some more interesting stories concerning my WoD characters, though.

I'm still rather new to D&D, so my first and only character is an elven ranger who came from a wealthy family but decided screw it, I'm gonna go kill stuff for a living.

I had a shifter monk, waaaaay back in the 3.5 days (okay, so it was only, like, 5 years ago...). Named Shisno, because I thought that Red vs. Blue was soooooo funny at the time.

If you want to be a little more broad, my first ever role-playing game character was a mithra Solar Exalted from the days of 1st Edition Exalted, all of, like, 6 years ago. I know mithra didn't exist officially in White Wolf's demigod RPG, but such things escaped my adolescent sensibilities.

Yes, I know it's strange that I started playing Exalted before D&D.

My first actual, "I've got personality and a backstory and everything" character? A shifter barbarian. Cool dude who smashed stuff and didn't afraid of anything, yet was calm, collected and gentle to everything else.

...Yes I do like playing bestial, primal characters, why do you ask?

Barbarian raider of the type from the start of Conan the barbarian. It was second ed back at the beginning of the nineties. The nineties did not suck for me.

Now I DM and play and have a giant folder of NPCs/Pcs.

A cowardly fighter/barbarian/berserker has been my favourite this year and last. But playing a courtier/wizard of the opposite sex was fun, becoming the mother of the party basically.

I only played D&D a little bit because I'm kind of a jerkass with games like that and I pissed everyone off (mainly because I refused to learn all the details and numbers and stuff and kept making the DM figure everything out for me.)

That said, I told him "I wanna be a dwarf, and I wanna be a melee tank." And he wrote some stuff down, and I was. My name was Stiffy Bloodaxe. I was quite bad-ass.

I didn't get too far. They booted me after the 10th time I suggested we open a cursed treasure chest by letting me hit it with my giant hammer, spell splash damage be damned.

I also thought it was funny to swear and make fart jokes to the NPC royalty who were giving us quests. No one else had any fun breaking out of the dungeon the guys would throw us into after this.

Man, I miss that game...

A Neutral good human fighter Named Alena the Dragon (red hair & pissy, aggressive attitude). Made her in the early days of AD&D. Played with her for 15 years before retiring her to flavor NPC status for games I DM. After all, when you destroy a god, there's not much room for growth afterwards.

You do know that the chances of that happening are about...

less than one to

Exactly. It wasn't even worth it, I kept thinking something horrible would happen to make up for it.

I think that may have been the reason I took a looong break from that game, My brain was fucked.

How do you get a 20 on 3d6?

My first character was 17 years ago and he was a little imp illusionist named Skywise (I think). It wasn't really a rules oriented game at that point, more of an interactive storytelling sort of approach with my babysitter (Hi, Kat!).

3d6? My friend just told me to roll a twenty, and if it was too low I could roll again.
Oh well, in the past now, don't even play anymore.

Ah, I see. I can't say I've met many people who roll up characters that way. Personally I would never do that just because the odds of characters with some extremely wacky stats would be pretty high.
