So another decade has gone by.. ten whole years. In these past ten years, many of us have played at least one video game. But which one tops them all?

What would be your game nominations for "The Best Video Game of 2000-2009" and "Best Video Game of 2009" ??

Game of the Year: L4D2
It was done so well, so perfectly, and if it weren't for the character Rochelle, it would be a 100% perfect game.

Game of the Decade: Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Some people disagree because of OoT, but Majora's mask had a compelling backstory that makes you WANT to finish it 100% (as well as the Fierce Diety mask as a goal), each mask can do something cool and different, the transformations add a little variety to the Zelda gameplay, well designed levels, and best of all was that it had an amazing, well thought out, brilliant, and hilariously dark story, supported by some of the fanciest and well thought diologue. When one of the children on the moon asked me, "What makes you...happy?", I was shocked.
OoT was too...I don't know...cheesy and basic. C'mon, time travel? Saving the princess? Majora's Mask was saving the WORLD, and you got to do it with a bunch of newer and cooler weapons; masks.

*Decade Runner-up: Bioshock
Another rediculously amazing story. I was shocked when the bathosphere exploded, and
shocked again when I discovered the "Would you kindly" thing. But the game ended up
being way too easy, and it was a bit short. Good, no doubt, but short and easy isn't
how I like my games. It's how I like my women.

Ooh, tough one.

Game of the decade would probably have to end up being the favorite game of all time for a lot of people in here...the original Halo was pretty great, so yeah, either that or my inner retro/pc gamer picks Cave Story by Pixel Studios...

Strabgely enough I can't think of what to put for this year's...I've been without console for a while now, and most of the PC games I get are oldies...probably World at War 2 for consoles?

2009: Batman AA, it was going to be AC 2 however batman left me with a more satisfied ending, while AC 2's ending left a bad taste in my mouth (also the last boss fight kinda sucked).
2000-2009: Super Smash Bros Melee, I got that game and the cube for the christmas it was available for and I still play is almost once a day. It may only be for a couple matches but no other game I've play can make that claim.
