Your Gaming Obsessions

Really surprised somebody hasn't done this topic recently, though you could say it's been done in a bazillion different ways. I'm not looking for favorites here, not at all. Recently I started playing Shadow of the Colossus, and while it's not one of my all time favorites, I'm starting to obsess over it. Mostly over getting all the lizards and getting to the secret garden. Anyway, anybody else have things like that?

I obsess over collecting the heart pieces in Legend of Zelda, and basically everything in the Assassin's Creed games. On my third playthrough of AC2 now. Don't ask me how it can keep me entertained still - I've no clue. Doing optional assassin missions, I 'spose.

What are some things that you obsess over in certain games, or some games you're obsessed with?

I'm obsessed with SIM Theme Park Gold Edition. Look on any thread about video games. I posted it on there.

I usually obsess about any game I play.

...If it's any good. Then once I finish it (I hardly ever obsess with 100% the game) I either A) never think about it again B) play it again but harder (I usually never finish as I get bored..) or C) Come back to it every few weeks just to play it again, sometimes a full playthrough.

I am stuck at 98%, its driving me nuts!

I obsess over the Elites in Halo, and almost all things related to them. I play as them in multiplayer, I have a horde of Sangheili collectibles in my house and I plan to play the hell out of custom made games, Firefight Versus, Invasion, Elite Slayer, SVE slayer and Forge World when I get Halo: Reach as those modes let me play as elites.
I love myself some elites.
But of course if there is a single person on this site who hasn't worked that out yet then they must be killed for their heresy.

Other than that, I have a very big game/nerd crush on Ashley from Mass Effect and can get really annoyed when people declare her as the worst things imagineable and get quit defensive. Fortunately my obsession hasn't yet manifested as wearing a brunette wig and then shouting:
"LEAVE ASHLEY ALLOOOOOOOONNNNEEE!!"
So there's still hope.

I obsess about knifing everyone I meet in Bad Company 2's multiplayer. Especially if they're ranked General. Then I have to knife them. Or I'm not allowed food.

I'm currently obsessed over Halo: Reach, because I know it will be awesome, having watched the campaign, along with Firefight 2.0, Forge World, Theater, and Multiplayer.

...I find it hard to 100% areas. >.> is there some trick to that? i get to like 97% on every area.

I do this in FPS multiplayer too sometimes, if I'm given the option. In Halo, it's between straight melees and headshots. So much trash talking to be had!

I was obsessed with collecting the blast shards in inFamous. Also for a while KotOR owned my life outside of school. Recently I have been all about Mass Effect 2 and the awesome characters in it. I have never really obsessed about a girl in a game though. I have had gaming crush, just like everyone, but never an obsession with a female character.

Dynasty/Samurai Warriors games as well as Warriors Orochi games done by Koei. I'm just obsessed with getting everything, all characters, level 100 etc etc. It's more addictive then drugs.

Gah! Bad memories of N+ flooding back into my mind. I have done EVERY level including the level packs and the expert challenge.
God that was a hard game. Hard but fun. I remember one of my friends called it "a lesson on how love and hate can co-exist."

Call me weird but I had the same thing with Liara. But her voice it was so... sleep inducing. It actually made me go to sleep when she was blabbering on about Benezia (But that was at 3am, so I'm unsure of whose fault that was)

So looking forward to Mass Effect 3.

I always obsess over unlocking all available characters. I also have to get all the abilities a character can have. I hate having to choose one path or another for a character and I hate having to do more than one playthrough to get the full experience.
