Hello all! I believe its safe to say that we all have a moment in gaming that is stuck in our memories forever. It can be from a horrible death that took us completely by surprise, or a wise crack made by a supporting character. Sometimes it can be something that isnt even that amazing or special, yet for some reason sticks with us. For example, mine is when I first faced the final boss at the end of Contra 3 and 30 seconds later, completely out of lives, I thought, "Oh so that's what a final boss is supposed to be". Share away.

The "Horrific regret" Sensory stone in Planescape Torment.

The sensory stones are devices that give you other people's memories, and this one puts you in the shoes of a general who dropped some sort of doomsday device on an enemy civilization, and while trying to rationalize the action to his second-in-command, realizes the true magnitude of what he has done.

the final cutscene of diablo 1..
left me completely speechless
That it did, and for the year it came out, the opening for Diablo 2.

I have a lot of memorable gaming moments, comes from many years of gaming, my oldest was on Transport Tycoon: Deluxe I had a train arrive at a station brought me in £1M, my jaw hit the floor, was brilliant.

Surviving Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom on Lunatic. Got to the final spell card (a damned time-out card no less) for Yuyuko with no lives and one bomb left. That theme never pumped me up like it did then.

When I first got my 360 my friend and I rented Bullet Witch, not the best game but gave me one of my favorite video game memory moments ever.

I can't say where he was in the game, but he was pointed one way shooting some of the regular zombie guys, and we hear this boom but can't see anything, so he just continues on and strafes to get a better angle. As he does this, a rocket goes literally shooting by just under the character's arm, leaving an awesome trail of smoke and revealing a tank further down the road. The timing and graphics made it just perfect and it looked absolutely amazing for a system I had just gotten that day. One of many gaming moments I'll never forget.

I'm gonna go with the time I jumped out of my Banshee in midair and hijacked my brother's in Halo 2.
Pfft, amateur. Jumping out of my banshee onto the scarab in the last level of the campaign because it was about to explode, then jumping from the scarab to an enemy banshee for a midair hijack after my brother nicked the spare aircraft. Feels good man!

Starting pokemon silver for the first time (before I realised how often this pokemon thing would be done... at the time, another 100 creatures seemed like a good idea!), and then, years later, starting soul silver, and reminding myself how much I'd loved the game. Remaking it only made it better! Apart from when it deleted my save a couple of days ago. It was as if 300 tiny monsters cried out at once, and were suddenly silenced...

For me, it was the Shivering Isles or the Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion. They were so much fun.

Either that or playing Pokemon Yellow for the first time. I was 6, and my first pokemon caught was a pidgeotto. Pidgeot and I single handedly defeated Team Rocket at Sliph Co...

Playing the Halo 2 level Gravemind for the millionth time. A grunt fell from above onto my friends head with a Fuel Rod Gun, started screaming, and firing at me. A large amount of laughing resulted.

The death of The Boss on MGS3 (No Spoilers, everyone should know by now) and the final boss fight on MGS4. God damn, Hideo Kojima and his team of developers know how to make a good game. (Just don't mention the Nanomachines)

Fallout 3 and having a save file reserved for brutally murdering the everloving shit out of the first Enclave guy you meet in Megaton.

That, and the final moments of Halo: Combat Evolved. I don't think I should say anything more than play it.

Braid springs to mind. Mostly the ending and whatnot, not the forever it takes me to work out the blasted puzzles!
