Your opinions on the 'Saw' movies

I know that critics say that they hate them, but I just can't get enough of that series. The writers of Saw IV were f***ing geniuses.

It's a comedy really, I can't take them seriously.

It's just a bunch of unlikable people getting murdered in interesting ways for an hour and a half.

They've evolved from simple just because torture to a well thought out series of movies, yes the torture is still there but it doesn't seem to be the main driving force behind the films in the later parts, I've found each better than the last to be honest.

Saw: Great psychological thriller with an interesting message. Jigsaw became a horror icon.
Saw II: Still good, Jigsaw is explained more, fairly good traps, a bit less psychological.
Saw III: Liked the ending, didn't like what led up to it.
Saw IV: Pretty good, i mean the message was interesting, but nothing ot get excited about. Its definitely going downhill.
Saw V: Nice message, team Saw. Im pretty sure i learned enough about teamwork from Yugioh thankyouverymuch.

I liked Saw, but the other films really didn't do a thing for me. I'm a pretty big fan of gory movies, so I can't say I hate Saw as a series, but I certainly don't think it's the best thing out there.

The critics may hate them but they are pretty popular. Not my cup of tea really, but I have watched a few of them. The rollercoaster is pretty awesome too.

The first one was pretty good, and that twist at the end took me completely by suprise. The second film was OK, but definetely not as good as the first, the same goes for the third. I haven't seen any of the others, but I might do at some point. Until then then original is still the best
