If you could create one game in your life what would it be like?
Would it be a Grand Theft Auto type where you go around getting chased by police?
Mercenaries 2 where you blow everything up?
Or even something like Little Big Planet where you create a masterpiece?

My perfect game is life. Now, I must go as I'm off to play it.

Oh, and welcome to the Escapist. Enjoy your stay here and please ignore the body under the stairs and the troll outside. Have fun!

My perfect game is called the search button...

Seriously, this has been done to death - not only that but your asking us to write a massive paragraph detailing a game; the least you could do was write an example.

A good Warhammer 40,000 FPS. How don't Games Workshop see the business potential?
They see the potential, they just can't make one.

That game's boring and no one's ever around for multiplayer.

It's hard to say, I like a lot of different types of games. Game Informer had an article in the ir July Issue that would pretty much outline the type of game I'd make. The article was about building the perfect RPG using different assets from different games. Although, I'd put a huge emphasis on the badass cutscenes from the Xenosaga series, and the story telling of the Squenix games where they didn't just go for fan service.

I just treat all of the innocent bystanders as zombies when I'm playing GTA. It makes me not feel as bad when I run over them, then powerslide on their dead bodies to leave trails of blood on the ground.

They keep employing the wrong people to make it. Put it in the hands of Valve or 2K and it'd be great.

But it offers a huge variety of micro-management; there's even a morality system (to post or not to post) - and the backstory given to the wide variety of characters is fascinating.

Shivering Isles, the expansion to Oblivion. Except you can do anything, not just almost anything. It's very illogical how you can't cast shock spells on your sword and then skewer enemies to make them spasm humorously while they bleed to death. That was a big disappointment to me. (No it wasn't, Oblivion is still the best RPG I've played ever)

I have a couple of them...

One is a concept I would like to call "The 5 Hour Action Game" which is basically a short, intense action game with a ton of replay value. You basically play through a series of scenarios that are very maleable, full of multiple paths and different ways to achieve success. It would also have a story that varies depending on how you handle different situations. In essence making the game more of a 15 or 20 hour experience when you really think about it.

I would also KILL to have an RPG that combines the best elements of Western Designed and Japanese Designed RPG's. Basically if Bioware, Hironobu Sakaguchi, Blizzard, Chris Avellone and the Skies of Arcadia/Valkyria Chronicles Team all worked on a game together. That would be like complete crack to me. It WOULD be the best game I've ever played, I have no doubt of this.

Lastly somebody needs to make an FPS based off of this http://www.exilegames.com/games/hex.html it would be both original, and awesome!

Shadow of the Colossus meets Fallout 3. A massive world with epic music and boss fights combined with good character creation and stats business. Also, there must be ancient destroyed cities to explore platform style.

I am so sick of those idiotic jokes.
Coming from the person that made the second shortest review I have seen on this site...I couldn't care less...

If people used the search button the forums wouldn't be packed with the same topics week in week out...

Some kind of RPG/FPS. Sure, Mass Effect tried it, but I thought the shooting aspect was pathically weak and boring. And to think of it, the RPG wasn't that great either. And Deus Ex was weak in the shooting department as well.
Anyway, my perfect game would basically be Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines with less bugs (yes, I know about the unofficial patch, thank you) and great improvement in the department of combat. Still, I goddamn love that game, and an EVEN BETTER version of that game would send me straight to heaven.
Really, the problem is that all good RPG developers have crappy programmers and the exception to this rule, Bioware, has gone to shit since it developed BG2. It's sad but true.

If you gave it to Valve we'd never get it!

OP: KOTOR meets Force Unleashed. That'd be awesome.
