Your role in the apocalypse

What would you be do in a fall out style post apocalypse?

A mercenary? a scientist? a commoner to a new society? ETC. How would you adapt to/ exploit the post apocalyptic world.

I'd probably just find a nice, big nuke and set it off by kicking it a few times. Besides death-by-pancake, I think that'd be a lovely, top-tier way to die.

I'd back up Wikipedia, Wikisource, Project Gutenberg, and all of the FM Manuals from GlobalSecurity and then guard the data with my life until a new civilization took hold and demonstrated that they were responsible enough to use it.

When it comes to meats, I've long since realized that quantity trumps quality. So, you can keep your gourmet finger meats, while I'll gorge myself on ASS.

If not dead, I'd probably try to create a new society. I'm pretty good at yelling at people to do things, and my survival skills are not all that bad.

Are there zombies? Probably so.
If there are zombies, I would try to make as many gas bombs as I could, so if they require a sense of smell, they can't get me, so call me a grenaider.

If my gas bombs do work, I can kill and/or incapacitate zombies, monsters, and humans alike.

Or I could do what Star Ocean IV does and try to explore the final frontier.
