Your Skyrim customisation hopes

Skyrim is almost here, and by almost, I mean nowhere near.

We all have our hopes of what will be in the game, from character classes to techniques and spells etc.

This thread isn't about any of those things. We're here to share our hopes and ideas about what we would like to see in terms of character and equipment customisation. Would you like to see some sort of dying mechanic, so you can run around in fluorescent pink mages robes? Maybe weapon customisation that allows you to make your sword to have a very common and simple appearance or a very elaborate and indulgent one?

For me, part of what make the Elder Scrolls games so appealing, is the ability to make a truly unique character. I'd love to see the things mentioned above, I'd even go as far as to be able to choose the sounds you're character makes in combat and be able to customise body proportions.

So guys, what do you want to see?

If I can't be a three foot tall femme High Elf who fights with dual shields, I shall NOT be happy.

...Fine, that's unreasonable. I'll work with her being as tall as necessary.

I'd love to see some sort of ancient cult, based around the arts of dual-wielding shields.

Think of the hilarity things we'll learn.

I'd join. And rise to be the Grand Master Shield-Smacker. AND YOU WILL KNOW MY NAME IS THE LORD when I unleash my flat-arm wrath upon thee.

Pulp Fiction had been related to dual-wielding shields in Skyrim.

I can now die happy.

Yeah. Playing a high elf in Oblivion was like playing the Elvaan from FFXI. You look normal, but in game you feel like a man-shaped giraffe.

Also dual shields was an effective tactic in Colosseum: Road to Freedom. It would be nice to see it elsewhere.

Wood Elves need height.
That's what bothered me about Oblivion. Why the hell were the female wood elves quite a bit taller than the males?
Because of inverse uniqueness. Men are generally taller than women, so an easy way to make them appear less human is to invert that. Sadly, this tends to bring spiders, scorpions and angler fish to mind, none of which make great archers.

Since I play as an orc most the time I want the axes to be cool again. In oblivion they were lame, and almost one were legendary(unlike morrowind). Also I want to of course duel wield battle axes while in berserk mode. That would be great.

Actually, the noticeable height variance really impressed me. As a high elf, other people looked up while talking to you, and vice versa. It made me all happy and quivery inside, because I'm easily impressed by little details. :p

I would like alot of beard custimization options. I am a guy who loves a beard so seeing some interesting and badass beard options would be nice. Custimization of weapons and armor would be really cool as well.

It didn't really have that effect on me. I just thought male wood elves looked like hobbits, rather than the best archers in the land.

as mentioned before, height would be cool

body build, like muscular, fat, slender etc

customisable clothes, by that i mean, able to wear things in a different style, like sleeves rolled up, shirts buttoned up, or left unbuttoned etc

i dont think there will be voice for you character but if there is that would be cool ,maybe even different voices for each race, but i doubt there will be due to the insane amount of dialogue that would need to be included

also not really a customisable thing, but i want to be able to dismember people like in fallout, makes combat that much more satisfying, imagine swinging your axe and cutting someones head off after a long epic fight

there is more but im too tired to think of them

If I can customize spells to the extent of previous games, it's a must buy. If not, maybe I'll give it a look, but I'll probably be busy playing the full release of minecraft :)

I think that would be a great addition. It potentially doubles a lot of styling choices.

Just being able to edit all these little details.
