Some say I have a sexual addiction. Well, do you know what I say to them? I tell them to shut up and if they don't, we will have to end up in a missionary position for the next 30 secs. Maybe they have a point.

Porn, porn has its dark moments. Very dark moments. From borderline illegal, full on illegal and "why the hell is this not illegal" legal. However I wanted to explore the more broader picture.

Porn can be a good past time for some. A little personally intimate pleasure time alone in your room at 10 at night while your mom is in the next room and hoping she doesn't hear what you are watching because no matter how low you put the volume, there is always a fear that you are one Lily Thai orgasm away from being busted while busting a nut. Scary times. But really, as mentioned before, porn has its dark side and the industry itself it fill with many cons. From sexism, to racist to the health and safety of the performers and the abuse they get from either casting directors, fellow performers or extra fans. Fuck I think I have don't it again.

What do you think the pro and cons of porn are?

Are they a force for good?

Should porn be banned outright?

Should Alexis Texas retire from the game?

Just express anything. Be open. Not to open though. I don't and to know you extreme fetishes, you belly button lovers.

This topic was brought to you by Parasondox. Causing mayhem and chaos where ever he goes. But really, after seeing many documentaries surrounding porn and the behind the scenes of it, it a profression that is tough, cruel and extreme at times with little to less care for the performers. Made me think twice about Brazzer. Then again I don't like Brazzer, it seems so damn fake.

Seems? I can't even get a twinge down there when I see a Brazzers video. Like watching a toddler smash a Barbie Doll and GI Joe together.

Honestly, I'm kind of bored with the stuff in general. Lately nothing can keep my interest. Hence, I have decided to try and quit for the time being.

EDIT: Oh, and yes, the porn industry is incredibly fucked up. Which is why I stick (or stuck I guess) to the more "natural" porn.

Mmm, porn is not for me. The sense that you don't know if the person actually wants to do it, with amateur stuff you don't even know if both parties have consented to it being shown to the world. You just don't know if people are being exploited. That gives me a lingering sense of squick. So, it's not for me.

Also it's a shame how many people seem to be getting their ideas of sex from porn. It's really not a good idea.
There are other things I don't like about it as well, but I know people get very defensive about this sort of thing and I'm not looking to upset anyone, just saying I personally don't use it, and probably wouldn't date anyone who did. A bit strange, maybe, but it's a personal preference.

Damn dude, get some ear buds : P

I don't know, I'll check out a video every now and again. I can only watch the amateur stuff though. It seems more real, and the people seem to actually enjoy themselves. Whenever I see the industry stuff, I always feel like somebody probably got exploited. Even if they didn't, there's no way these people are having fun. Porn videos aren't really for me, I think.

As mentioned, the industry is full of problems that don't look to be resolved any time soon, and people often use pron as sex education. For that matter, for education about how men and women interact in general.

These aren't inherent problems with porn, though, in theory these could be corrected.

It's awesome. From giving me great advice on cool positions to helping me out when I'm bored, it's a great help and has only gotten better since the internet took off. It does however present some excitement problems in the long term when the boring stuff no longer works.

Are they a force for good?
Yes, absolutely. Porn is a great economy, is correlated (perhaps spuriously) to a reduction in sex-related crimes, and has helped me be cool and relaxed on many a date.

Should they be banned outright?
They? The people working in the porn bidness? I'm not sure how one would go about banning people but it could be fun to try.

Should Alexis Texas retire from the game?
Yes please. She's gotten really fat and the bubble butt thing looks more like a sad Droopy now.

Also, Lily Thai was always inferior to Lucy Thai.

Okay okay. Brazzer is as fake as Katie Prices left tit. It all looks and feels so dull and staged bllllleeeeeeeeehhhhhhhh.

Natutal/homemade/amateur porn seems good but I kind ruined that for myself as many who post those vids only, mostly do it as a revenge tactic because their partner broke up with the and they can't handle a break up maturely so they act out and ruin another person's life. Fuck that. Porn even in its natural real world form seems dark enough and sad really.

So many husband's want black guys to bang their wives. Lucky me.

Simply?

99% of people use it.
A lot of those who use it decry it publicly.
Nothing wrong using it for sexual health... and sexual health is important.
Maybe we should all stop being so ashamed of it.

On the flipside.

Some companies involved are very seedy
Pornstars do not have enough protections, legally/profession and sexual healthwise.

Thoughts on porn:

Some of it I find sexy.
A lot of it I find really off-putting for a whole range of reasons.
Some of it just makes me scratch my head and wonder how that's even a thing.
Some of it is just NOPE.

Thoughts on the industry:

Seems to be trying on the whole to clean up its act and establish itself as legitimate rather than merely legal. Clearly still has a way to go. Porn is inextricably linked to sex (duh!) and sex always brings out the prude in a lot of people.
At the very least I wish people wouldn't treat people who make porn as lesser because of it. Not everyone does of course, but the attitude definitely exists.

I'm kind of addicted to it. Reading this thread while I have a slideshow going with my two favourite things I find very calming on my second screen. Though I personally don't even consider it porn but many seem to.

I believe pros help a great many get through issues. Not being able to enjoy your kink in anyway could be quite frustrating. Cons would probably be the very few who have it feed their desires and cause harm. Though I believe it does far more good than bad and should not be illegal unless it causes non consensual harm.

As other people have said in this thread, I'm uncomfortable with real life porn because I never know if the people on those screens are two consenting adults and not some poor fucks going at each other because they are sex/human trafficked victims or they were low key forced to do it due to unfortunate living circumstances.
I simply can't enjoy a medium when I'm too concerned about the well being of the parties and I'd feel awful if I found out that the thing I came to was a result of exploitation and human suffering.

I prefer the fanfic smut and 2D drawings. Nobody real is harmed in them.

I'm not really a fan of regular pornography because, as others here have mentioned, I can't be sure of the circumstances that led to it being filmed. Even if it's a professionally produced thing, it bothers me that the actors involved may not want to be doing this, that they had hopes and dreams but are instead are having to get their privates out just to earn enough to eat. Might well never be the case, but it doesn't change the fact it plays on my mind when I'm watching. And I'll be honest, putting thought into that kind of moral dilemma isn't what I go look at porn for.
I definitely don't think it should be banned though. Banning porn probably wouldn't even stop it being produced, it'd just force it underground and make it even more likely that the parties involved don't want to be doing it.

Nowadays I almost exclusively look at drawn material if I'm after the lewd stuff, hentai and whatnot. Friends often tell me I'm weird for finding arousal in that kind of thing, but I don't see how it's any weirder than getting a stiffy over watching a video of two strangers going at it while a third party hovers around with a camera.

I have no issue with the concept of porn, though if half of the things I've heard about the porn industry are true, I think it needs a major overhaul to be a good industry.

There is nothing wrong with people agreeing to have sex for money, on film, with the purpose of having other people enjoy watching it. The way they are treated, and how the public views them is another issue entirely. I'm firmly in the George Carlin camp about sex and pornography and prostitution. Giving somebody an orgasm is hardly the worst thing you can do to them. And it's something most of the human race does for free, and it's perfectly legal.

I see nothing wrong with exchanging money/goods for sex. If it's a mutually agreed upon thing, and both parties are consenting, who cares? I consider it a fairly honorable field, and anyone who wants to do it, is no less of a person than any other form of work.

Now the problem of sex slaves in the industry is a huge issue, that should be resolved. But I think if it was legal, and regulated, a lot of this would probably go away, at least in countries that could enforce the regulations.

Yeah I'm kind of mixing the two things, but I feel they are both part of the same thing really. Sex for money, whether you do it on camera or just one on one, it's the business of sex. And I think it should be given more respect than it does, as well as the people who do it.

Please no, that girl has got the kind of figure that I really really enjoy. That booty is just glorious. Now, if she wants to retire, sure go ahead, her life, her choice. But otherwise? Please no Alexis! Keep that booty shaking!

Vanilla porn turns me off massively. Why on earth 'regular' sex is supposed to involve the guy banging the girl so hard she's clearly not enjoying it on any level i have no idea...

I prefer sex positive stuff like Abbywinters, Ersites etc or fetish porn where sex is secondary to kink...as long as you stay at the respectful end of the fetish industry i find fetish models get treated with respect and it's more enjoyable to watch because these are in general people with a kink that get paid to indulge it.

I think the wrong kind of porn can be very damaging, especially in those too young to see that real life doesn't work this way but if you know what to look for it's a good way of exploring your own sexuality.

No clue about Alexis Texas btw, the last time i saw her she was ok but that was nearly 10 years ago i guess :p

Porn: It's definitely porny.

Ultimately, don't really have much issue with the industry. I don't think it's a profession that should be met with any negativity or anything like that. If women or men want to sell sex, then more power to them for being comfortable enough to do so.

I was watching a movie (non-porn) with Traci Lords in it not so long ago and I remembered that she was a former porn actress. So I went and looked up her old videos. Usually it was just her and one other guy getting it on and one thing that struck me was it seemed very authentic. Her and the guy were making out throughout it and not just angling their bits for the cameras and hammering away as fast as possible. It was raw and honest and I found the videos extraordinarily hot!

I don't know whether I've been to the wrong sites in the past, but porn today seems to be more brutal and has less in common with your usual sexual encounters and to me I find it less appealing. It's more like bits of meat mashing together than two human beings engaging. You might as well be watching a dildo root a fleshlight. But that's just my opinion. Different strokes for different folks.

It is necessary evil.

Porn itself isn't evil - if men and women wants to make money doing whatever they want, it's like, their business. Problem with it comes with crimes like kidnapping, or recorded on by force.

It is certainly better than the alternative - the world without porns. I believe I have discussed possible events that may come with it, in the other thread about porns.
