Your top 3 Wii games
Just wondering your choice of top games for the Wii, and why.
Admittedly, my experience is relatively limited, I haven't played Super Mario Galaxy, for instance, as I feel the character has completely sold out. Nevertheless, my list would have to be as follows
-Resident Evil 4: This had some pretty phenomenal graphics, best I've seen on a Wii game, and I thought the controls were easy to handle. Additionally, the fun minigame-type modes in which you had to kill as many enemies as possible in a time limit added a casual feel and kept me from thinking that the game was taking itself too seriously.
- Opoona: I had a lot of fun with this quirky JRPG, probably because of the lack of spiky-haired angsty teenagers, and the abundance of likeable characters who attacked by hurling bonbons at their enemies. The combat was unique, the storyline was strong, the music was catchy, and the game kept me interested for a lot longer than many other games with more impressive graphics and significantly higher numbers of grizzled space marines.
-Batallion Wars II: While the gameplay is average in this game and I've certainly seen better graphics, I found it to be a challenging and unique experience. Mainly though, it was the atmosphere that kept me playing, and the humerous and thinly veiled parodies of real-world countries and leaders kept me amused. I also found the online mode to be an enjoyable experience.
Honourable mention to DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3, easily the best fighting game I've played on Wii, (and yes, I have played SSBB) although I can see how it may only fill niche appeal rather than being accessible to a wider audience.
