I would like to know what was the first videogame you have played, as far back as you can remember.(I understand this may or may not have already been done) Mine was Super Mario World for the SNES.

Sonic 2 on my friends genesis. I insisted on playing as sonic while he was tails as I was a fan of the cartoon and thought that sonic was univerally better. I just kept running into the same first spikes over and over.

Watching it was tragic and hillarious at the same time, like watching a clown burn to death.

Hehe, clowns... *Chuckle*

My first video game was sonic the hedgehog
but my first 3D video game and favorite game of all time was Banjo Kazooie
so...freaking...good...that game is everything games should be,
Funny, challenging, good looking, awesome gameplay, and great cheats and unlockables

I hate whenever we do one of these threads. I always end up feeling old.

That said, it was one of perhaps a dozen Atari games, I'm not really sure which was first. First game I beat was ET (which was one of the few games that you could "beat" back then).

And by beat you mean, with a hammer.

Anyway, the deja nazi in me is screaming "REPEAT! REPEAT!"
But I won't say anything about it.

How hard is it to hit 'search forum' to find out?
I wouldn't post but it hasn't even been a week since the last one died!

Wow. I can't believe you actually played that game through to completion. It was so HORRIBLE. That's why they dumped all the left-overs in New Mexico somewhere. (I think that's the place, someone might want to double-check me on that.)

As far as my first game, it probably had to have been Mortal Kombat on the Genesis. LoL. The first one was SO good.

I remember getting this (outdated) console (ran on cartridges. 2d stuff and junk, generally anything you can emulate now) in '96/'97 when I started school. Generic early '90s titles there; volleyball, chase and bump the bad guys car, racing. May have been that, or even Load Runner on the computer in my aunt's office. I also did some weird games on the computer at my moms workplace.

I did get a PS1, but only around '99 or 2000. Yes, I'm that outdated (my parents don't like spending money on stuff they don't like). My first PS2 (which eventually started scratching discs) came in 2004, from my cousin, who incidentally also supplied that first PS1, and the replacement PS2 for that. Yeah, he's rich(er), but so bloody nice.

Never had anything else besides my gaming PC. But this is getting off-topic.

The first video game was on an ancient Mac computer. I think the game was called DragonMaze? It was pretty simple. I always got eaten by the Hydra in the basement...

That or Mac Rogue would have been the first ones. Then SimCity2000 later on. I loved that game.

Actually, before any of those would have been the X-Men game at the arcade. I was never very good at it of course. (I wasn't tall enough to push the Special Power button). That was before most people even owned a computer at home.

Some game for the C64 that had a worm that rode around in a car made of an apple. I've tried google searching it, but I can't find it. I think it was in 1982. Also, I recall playing G.I.Joe for C64 about the same time, too.

Let's see...it was either X-Wing on PC, Super Mario World on the SNES (or some other SNES game). I dunno, it was waaaay back, and I can barely remember what I did yesterday.

Rogue Squadron and Battle for Naboo, both for the N64. Played them both when I was six in 2000.

Asteroids in 256 colors on an old machine in some lab. Digital or something like that - don't remember the make. Then Impossible Mission on an old IBM box.
