I'm trying to make a brick house (ambitious I know), and only need a few more blocks or about one decent sized patch of clay. Of course that means there's no more clay left on the entire planet. At least I have all the blue wool I need for the carpet.
Like most people I am working on a castle. However mine is a little more complex than that. My castle is basically built underneath a mountain and consists of 80% of my island I am building on. And there will be a royal keep on top of the mountain to which the main castle pops out of.

Sophia the Third. It's gonna be a rough 3D sprite. She's only mostly done at this point. Still gotta work on that cannon.
Looks impressive. My castle has the same sort of design brief but only taking up about 1/4 of the area and extending from a 100x100 monster spawner at the bottom to a 30x30 tower at the top that extends to the highest point of the map, complete with battlements and balconies.viranimus said:Like most people I am working on a castle. Incidentally, what do you use to take that isometric picture?
I quit Minecraft. I'm not feeling very creative at the moment, and that is further enforced by the hours that must be spent gathering the materials alone. I might check it out again with the Adventure update.
Before I quit though, I was building a lava flow under the floor of my glass tower and a tunnel of lava (with a enclosed glass walkway) leading to a nether gate.

OT: I just finished my inter-continental underground canal, now I'm trying to finish my giant fortress. I've recently been mining out of a quarry to fill up a few chests with cobblestone, so soon I can go on a marathon of building.

I'm off and on working on recreating scale versions of all 7 wonders of the ancient worlds... complete with (as far as i can tell) accurate interior architecture
i've just been avoiding it lately because i've no idea how to make the colossus of rhodes... and the whole "no one really knows what it was really like" legs apart/legs together shenanigans... and it's gonna be REALLY complicated to get the detail in the right height

I've been making houses at the mouths of all my mines. Also, I've created a system of minecart tracks that transport me between all of these houses.
Oh, and I made a castle/lighthouse in the middle of the ocean with a tunnel into a series of caves that can get me back to the mainland. Trouble is, I can't see the lights because they're too high up, and my render distance is too short.

I've finished my castle and I've got the staircase leading to it about halfway done. Right now I'm working on a massive crystal labyrinth and building a full-scale airport.
