so is anyone getting an error when trying to watch youtube. its been like a day and a half. basically what i get is the video loads the advertisement then stops running, i have cleared cookies and everything i have software wise is up to date so idk whats going on.

Nope, I've watched several videos in the last hour and not experienced any issues. It must either be your local area, or more likely, some problem on your end.

I had the similar problem a year ago and discovered that changing browsers help. I know it's a hassle but it may work. I was using IE (forgot what number it was) and had that very problem to I went to Chrome and problem didn't come up. Try that.

Actually it could also be your internet speed. Do a speed test to see if your internet is reaching the limit, or near about, it's meant to be. If not call your ISP.

i kinda like using Firefox >.< if they make me go to chrome i get mad this happens every once and a while idk i am giving them couple days then idk what i going do i like watching my videos on youtube but this is nuts. idk maybe its east coast or something

Try the speed test also cause I know that can effect things too.

everything is running way it should idk what is going on maybe its east coast having problems or something. and yet i can watch on my iphone why the heck can't i do it on my computer idk.

As JoJo said, could be local area. When you are watching YouTube on your phone, is it through Wifi or 3G/4G?

seems be firefox or something idk i opened up IE (hate using it) went to site and it works but idk what the heck is going on seems they did something on their end and screwed up firefox or chrome from what i found in the youtube forum on google. think i am going have to download chrome see whats going on idk could be the flash update or something or a script screwing up the ads or other randomness.

I am using Firefox on the east coast and I am having no problems. Maybe you should just try reinstalling firefox to see if it works that way? Sometimes youtube has stopped working in the past, but it always fixes itself after a day or so.

After a recent update to chrome I started having that issue. I switched browsers to Comodo ice dragon, its a chromium based browser also, works a lot like chrome. Don't have the issue anymore.

Well, I used to have that problem... Then, I stopped using that YouTube "feather beta"...

Now, I just have very slow internet... (Granted, I've always had slow internet, but that's beside the point...)

It was acting strange for me the other day but I think it was more of a flash problem as other sites were dumb also. Luckily the only thing I want to do was listen to a podcast so I I fired up IE instead of FF and all was fine. The next day, FF and/or flash seemed to be working again with no problems.

Have you tried empting your firefox cached web content, Options\Advanced\Network cached web content.

I use Firefox and youtube works fine for me. There have been rare occasions where youtube has issues, but those usually get resolved in a matter of hours, or even minutes.

oh the black screen of sound is a YouTube problem. You have to lower the pixel. If its on 480p default, lower it to 360p then it should get back to the higher pixel rate in a few seconds after that.

amazingly after i loaded google chrome it worked regardless of which browser i was on eh weird bug or them screwing up something random i will never know.
