Apparently the DLC drops for PSN and XBL for 800 points today. The kick in the ass? No word of any PC release. I AM ANGERFIED!

For those not in the know, the Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is a DLC pack for Borderlands that adds 'dozens of new missions', new levels, new enemies, new weapons...y'know, expansion pack shit.

Also it has Zombies, and a very poorly disguised Dr. Zed wearing a fake mustache over his face mask (i'm serious).

I can't believe there isn't even a MENTION of a PC release yet though. Borderlands is a great game for the PC. *sigh* Oh Gearbox...

Well, at the very least I'm looking forward to some zombie killing. Too bad none of my close friends got Borderlands *sigh* they are too busy playing MW2.

And I was just reading the "Why do console gamers settle for so little" thread lol. Aw well by the time they get all the bugs worked out on the console versions it will come to the pc for free.

They said the PC version is definite, and its coming soonish if I can remember correctly, just not a release date, don't despair.

Yeah the PC version is pretty fucked up,what with gamespy and all
Still better than console versions. Just get a 3rd party software to set up the game to play it LAN with friends. That way you dont have to worry about the ports. But the zombie island not coming out at the same time is a little messed up. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I'm done with borderlands personally lol.
The lack of randomized levels and unvaried scenery REALLY hampers replayability IMO. I don't feel like shelling out $10 for what I'm sure is some crappy add-on. I don't get why DLC is so popular. Why are people just DYING to shell out money to gaming companies for 1-3 hours of more content?

The new content looks really cool and different from the rest of Pandora. And it should be like 5+ hours. And MW2 was 60 bucks for a SP campaign that was 60. Granted it had MP but still...

In Canada games have always been 60 bucks. I guess now that the US dollar went on par with ours companies decided to up the price. The prices here did not go up.

Possibly because they like the game and want more of the same experience? Just a thought.

More like a fact.

Anyways, Good luck with getting any word on the PC release of that content...I personally don't see anything too great about Borderlands. I kinda wish I did though...

Yeah...so instead of 5-10 bucks...I pay 30-40 for the same amount of content. Lovely.

Every expansion I've bought has had at least 15+ hours of gameplay, not to mention they continue the main story as opposed to being just some silly side area.

Because all DLC is this way. Right? Just go take a look at some of the FO3 DLC. There is no reason to be so prejudice against DLC at this point in the game.

Besides, from what I've seen, DLC has really been used for consoles...seeing as how you can't really make an expansion pack for a console game.

What province are you in? I have been shelling out 69.99 for bare bone editions for close to a year. And that is not just in one store. HMV, Zellers, Wal Mart and EB/GS.

Instead they just go the Bethesda route an release a GotY version with it bundled, like the old Blizzard Warchests. Then there's the Platinum Games on 360, which may or may not have DLC in them, which makes everything confusing as hell.

Really? I buy most of my games at Future Shop since I hate EB and there's a futureshop right next to it. I'm in Southern Ontario.

Here's a three links to all 3 versions of MW2 just to show you
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10134086&catid=11125

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10125088&catid=23355

edit: hopefully Future Shop doesn't try to detect IP and direct you to local stores.

I really don't see why bethesda didn't just release a hard copy of all their DLC for PC. They did it with Oblivion. Having not bought any FO3 DLC I'd gladly buy it all in a pack on a disk.

They did, at least they have it up on Amazon(Link [http://www.amazon.com/Fallout-3-Game-Year-Pc/dp/B002BXKJA0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1259043785&sr=8-4]), the best thing is that it's cheaper than buying the DLC separate. I'm with you on Fallout 3, and most other Bethesda games, buy when it goes GotY.
