It could work. Personally, having James or Daniel do a ZP for one week and Yahtzee doing the Extra Credits that week would be rather amusing.

Certainly would put them both out of their comfort zone, one being a caustic reviewer giving sober commentary and the other being a sober commentator doing a caustic review. But that's why it's so crazy it just might work.

Thoughts?

They already tried that and it was kinda crapish. It was different shows though. Well it wasn't too bad but people should stick to their respective shows the cross overs are never as good.

Don't they already do a written piece with someone else (either Shamus or MovieBob?). Can't say I see what's so hilarious in them swapping videos for a week.

Yeah, Yahtzee, James, and Bob do a column together called "Extra Consideration". I think it's the Escapist's way of making sure I spend all my free time on this site.

Only Done well. The cross on Unskippable was good, but going back over to ZP was uninteresting. Fact is only Yahtzee can truly do his job. But hey, if it works, it works, and I'm all for it.

I found the pieces a little boring to be honest. I wish they'd be more willing to throw some shit at each other during debates. Relevant shit, obviously, but shit nonetheless.

No it wouldn't. Those two shows are like oil and water, they don't mix. Mr. Croshaw's ZP is more of a cynical comedy while Extra Credits is more of a novel "the more you know" kind of show.

Serious vs. Comedic, they don't work.

It might be a good idea on paper (as most crossovers start out) but when put into actual practice it would only leave a bad taste in the viewer's mouth. So I'm going to say it's better that we skip the idea.

Two very, very different shows; I'm not sure how well a crossover would work.

Besides which, Extra Consideration is awesome enough :p

True, it wouldn't work if they try and flat out copy each others style. It might be entertaining to see the EC guys try and fail to be sarcastic and cynical, and see Yahtzee try and fail to be optomistic and such. It could be a nice little diversion if done well.

Oh God no. ZP is about a fast talking guy giving genuine insight and strong opinions on gaming culture. ExCred is about a slow talking boring guy rehashing Wikipedia articles and agreeing with any points Yahtzee makes in his videos.
