Im sorry but when i first started watching ZP i thought it was the greatest thing ever. a game review with some actual wit. but then suddenly it seems that after the GDC ZP special it all seemed to go downhill, atleast thats my opinion, ZP introduced me to the escapist, but i seem to spend more time on here on days other than wednesday more and more, sometimes forgetting that a ZP came out until the following tuesday.

is it just me or has ZP reached the point where its " just toying with the gravel on the big road of life"

Yes, yes it has. Your not the only one amigo, ZP has trully reached it's end. Let's face it, the jokes stopped being funny and became repetative/old matearil but with different pattersn slapped on it. Yahtzee himselfe went from a reviewer to a simple ranting troll who has an ego the size of Germany.

Inb4 flame.

I think its not as fresh as before, that's true. But taking the credit away from Yahtzee's work is a no. Look how many people enjoy him every week.

Doesn't matter to me. It's still funny from time to time. Besides the rest of the Escapist is far more interesting, and I thank ZP for introducing me to that.

Repeat thread.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, yes, Zero Punctuation has gotten extremely unfunny. Oh well, maybe soon the forums will return to the utopia they once were.

Actually I don't think Mr. Croshaw himself has changed, or his reviewing style, it's just that the same old style of jokes and quips that he makes have become repetitive and boring, where once they were quite amusing.

Im not so sure, yes the recent videos havnt been as good but i thought this beforeand he made a comeback IMO. I think its also party to do with his material bringing far less surprise then it used to now we've memorised the formula.

It was a true pain to read that.

I don't know where is "old material" used. Maybe it was subliminal, I don't know.

Because most of thoes people are brain dead sheep, who follow Yahtzee's every word like some calling of 'God'. I mean there is a difference between a joke and bad humor, and Yahztee is now despalying what horrible humor he has developed. I'll agree that in the begining SOME of his jokes were funny an witty, but they burened out.

I love watching ZP, even though i hardly laugh as much. maybe it's the weather, or that i'm at work, or he rants on games i dont give two shits about. It's not like he sold out or anything but i do get where you're coming from.

Aye, it's not as new and fresh as it was when we first laid eyes on it, but it's still fun and it's definitely more fun than anything else I come across on most of the week. People should stop looking at ZP as a God of entertainment really, you simply saw his pattern a lot of times and it's not as shocking as it was at first.

I personally think it he has his times, for example I didn't like the Tomb Raider one last week, but FarCry 2 this week I found very entertaining.

Allow me to explayin my 'old material'. How many times can he use the bloody Nazi's jokes, how many times can he makes jokes say bout MGS4, Nintendo games an etc. And now he takes the same old jokes, but just changes the topic to something different.

I think he should take a break. That way we will start to miss him and when he comes back it will better then ever, since he'll have time to make new material.

I don't think today's was particularly funny, but last week's was really good, one of the best in my opinion. The funny-to-dreck ratio is probably a bit lower than it used to be, but it's far from jumping the shark for all I can see.

End of the day, humour is a very subjective thing, so topics like this are always gonna average out to a massive waste of time.

well, I still like it and the jokes often get me rolling on my carpet, but I didn;t like his sudden change of accent to the end of FC2 review without mentioning any reason.
