What's the point of any thread on this forum?
This thread is to discuss anything related to Pokemon Snap 2. Hopes, Predicitions, initial reactions etc, etc.
Duh.
Still waiting on Pokemon Snap XXX for those who like references to dumb old flash animations. Go on, google it.
the original Snap was on the N64. Taking Photos digitally was amazing to people back then. so people loved that game.
now it's just exciting it's back so us 90's kids can take more photos of pokemon, throw apples to feed them and also throw rocks at them to bait them into coming out of hiding so you can take a Snap.
i never said it was ground breaking stuff haha
Oh hey a game I might be interested in on my Switch that wasn't an inferior port of a game years old from other platforms. Never thought I'd see the day. Good for you Nintendo!
I mean, its cute I guess - and I played the original - but an on-rails picture-em-up was definitely a product of the original's time, where a well-rendered 3D world was more impressive.
I honestly thought "I want Pokemon Snap 2" was more of a meme than an actual request, but we will have to see how this game is received.
Im also curious as to the price. For a mid-range price of £20 or so, I'd say that is reasonable, but if this is aiming to be a full £40+ game, I honestly would have expected a little more innovation, or at least modernisation, rather than just making the game prettier, and adding more pokemon.
Though, this is Pokemon that we are talking about, and that series has been pretty stagnant for a while.

The same as with every game: spend your time doing some fun crap to unlock more fun crap to spend your time with...
Honestly... I'm glad that this particular game wasn't made too much more complicated. I could use a game where I don't need to juggle a bunch of controls right now.
Yeah I was surprise it's also on rail like the first one, you'd think it would be more like an open world safari experience.
The whole point is to Snap the Pokemon before you miss them in your car which is why its on rails
Part of the challenge of the first game was figuring out when the best shots were going to happen and getting as many as possible too. A more free roaming game might actually be kinda boring given the budget.
