and I find it inexplicable that in the middle of a global pandemic that has already claimed 120,000 American lives that ANYONE could possibly be against M4A.

I'm not expecting M4A to magically just start up as soon as someone who is for M4A gets into office. Contrary to popular belief, I'm not an idiot. I understand that this is likely a multi-presidential fight that is going to have to take place because there is a LOT of money for millionaires and billionaires on the table if we get rid of our dumpster fire Capitalism Health Care system. Too many politicians currently in office have their wheels greased by Health Care and Insurance lobbyist for it to be able to just happen overnight (also why I vote Progressive down the ballot). But if Biden can't even commit to a completely hypothetical M4A being passed (and with this news story here, again reiterates that he wouldn't be for M4A), there is a zero percent chance that this process will begin with his 4 years.

This process needed to begin decades ago but since I do not possess a time machine, I will have to accept this process beginning now. Joe Biden has made it crystal clear that he not willing to start the process now. So per my usual copy/paste; He can either commit to this fight or he can convince other people to vote for him.
Well, if it makes you feel any better, if trump wins then you won't have to worry about M4A for a good long time since there is a very good chance he would be able to put in one or two more supreme count justices who will be very skeptical of expansion of health care, especially if the democrats don't win the senate. Then we could go another 20 years before we get another push for M4A. So, enjoy that.

Wut. The majority of Americans don’t vote. That’s a known thing.
Those that don't vote, don't matter. And those that vote third party are really just sabotaging their own interests since one of the two big parties is probably close enough to what they want and really all they are doing is making it harder for them to win the political power needed to do anything. Unless they are republican, then they should absolutely vote third party to pwn the libs.

Half of Americans don’t matter? Note, minorities are less likely to vote than white people btw. You’re basically saying old white people matter most.

Did they actually deal with the housing crisis though?

Raise your hand if the Obama administration did anything to help you directly during the housing crisis?

No one?

No Bank Of America, shut the help up and put your hand down, you're not a real person.
Oh, I must have missed that something this insulting was posted. The Democrats did nothing for the millions of people, of real, innocent human beings whose lives were ruined, whose communities were stripped down for parts, and whose futures were stolen from them. They, and the entire political apparatus, stood back and watched as our homes were diced up and traded as gambling chips. They then saved the gamblers rather than the gambled. The total failure of the Obama administration to address the housing crisis in a way that preserved the meagre wealth and opportunity of average Americans has decimated any possibility of this country’s survival and doomed us to decades of political and economic instability. This is unforgivable. Obama may easily be the best president I will ever have, and that fact is his own damn fault.
I didn't say solving, I said dealing with, that shit takes time and effort even if the results aren't what you would hope for, but its another thing to be dealt with on top of trying to push a huge healthcare plan. One that you people seem to forget was fucken monumental that we even got anything with since we have been trying to do some kind of federal level healthcare plan for almost 100 fucken years. You people seem to totally ignore that after all this time, this was the best we could politically get and its still being gutted. Welcome to fucken democracy, it's bullshit but its the best bullshit we have right now.

YES, they do, old people matter so much more then others since they vote. VOTING IS WHAT MAKES YOU MATTER AND HOW YOU MAKE CHANGES! I mean we will see how much the protests change things and how long those changes last, but voting is what makes you count. Nothing you care about matters if you don't vote. Not voting isn't protesting, its telling the candidates that your opinion doesn't fucken matter and they can ignore you.

So we're right back to "Vote for us OR ELSE!!!!"

The DNC needs voters a LOT more than we need The DNC. Progressives are taking seats away in lower levels of government as we speak. The tables finally seem to be turning as it's so much harder for them to hide who they really work for in The Internet era. Democrats can no longer just hide behind their D and say "I'm a Democrat, therefore I'm sticking up for The Little Guy!" like they used to. We have receipts now and can easily access them and shine a huge spotlight on them letting everyone know "This politician might have a D next to their name but they're in the same exact Corporate owned bed as the politicians with the little Rs next to their name".

The DNC can adapt and join with The Progressive movement or we'll go through them. I'd rather not have to go through them as that's going to cause a lot of unnecessary pain and damage to this country but if they're going to refuse to move and try to stare down this truck expecting that I'm going to swerve out of the way at the last second because they've taken hostages, they've got a hard lesson coming. It's a lesson I thought they learned in 2016 but here we are again on that same highway...

You really are dedicated to losing. You want your little progressive purity test, you don't care if you are effective and can actually get shit done. If you don't get exactly what you want, you want to lose and give up power for nothing but a smug feeling.

Cause news flash, THERE AREN'T ENOUGH PROGRESSIVES IN THE RIGHT PLACES TO WIN!

2/3rds of Americans want M4A and I'M the one dedicated to losing...

Biden is the one dedicated to losing by ignoring the demands of 2/3rds of Americans, not me. It is Biden's job to earn my vote. "I'm not Trump!" is not enough to earn my vote. You know what is enough to earn my vote? I'll give you a hint; I've copy/pasted it in about every single one of my posts in this thread.

Tippy, ol' pal, I love ya, but earlier in the thread you said...

Contrary to popular belief, I'm not an idiot.
Which is causing me some kind of cognitive dissonance with how you've spent so much time making 20 posts in this thread all saying the same thing to the same people, seemingly with the expectation of receiving a different result.

They dealt with the housing crisis by bailing out banks instead of the people those banks defrauded and put into debt.

Their healthcare plan caused healthcare costs for myself and my family to actually increase.

Please tell me how great the democrats handled these things and why I should trust them to continue "making progress" with my best interests at heart.

That’s ahistorical, inaccurate, defeatist, and racist.
Universal suffrage was attained through protests and organizing, not the ballot. Labor protections were obtained through protests and organizing, not the ballot. Civil Rights were obtained through protests and organizing, not the ballot. Do not request change, demand it. Or you will have no change. Voting is the most inconsequential thing that anyone who ever dreamed of a better world has ever done.

Realistically speaking all of their complaints are more applicable to women than men, but go off I guess.
His fetish material cartoon is spitting out the word "meh", not "men", in the ultimate rejection of people who do not share his worldview.

It's okay, I didn't want to look at it too closely either. The sacrifices we make for science.

Garland found room right of Scalia on 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th Amendment jurisprudence and criminal justice in sum, and you actually expect us to buy this "but SCOTUS!" bull, when under Biden we'd be lucky to see someone with even Kennedy's positions. The court's going to be 7-2 or 6-3 on the jurisprudential issues that will prove existential for the country regardless, liberal wedge issues be damned. Hard pass, thanks.

Those that don't vote, don't matter.
Just trying on those right-wing talking points to see if they fit, never mind voter suppression and electoral fraud? Don't worry, I'm sure ALEC will be more than happy to back Democratic state and federal legislature bids as long as they walk the right walk, I mean it's not as if AOC didn't just fend off a primary challenge backed by them as well as DCCC against the latter's mandate and mission statement.

A cartoon horse vomiting MEH does perfectly encapsulate voters opinions on Joe Biden. Some of us just don't take MEH as enough to be worth voting for. But you know what we WOULD vote for... :D

Oh, sorry, I thought you cared about your fellow human beings since you’re calling on me to vote for Biden over Trump for their sake. My apologies for misunderstanding.
Note, as I said in another thread that has now been locked, I have every intention to vote for Biden over Trump at this point, though largely for the selfish reason that I think Trump may throw me in prison. I just think your arguments are heinous.
