It did something, you just don't like that what it did was help people like me, so you ignore that it did anything at all and suggest we instead do nothing and let the terrible version we have now persist instead.
I mean, I provided evidence that it actually did nothing, on an institutional scale it did not help the American people. It only helped big pharma.

If it did something maybe, but it literally did nothing. It is an actual sidegrade to what we had before.
In a sense it was worse, as it was merely a distraction from the kind of change that actually matters. Which is unfortunate. In a sense, it bought into the desires of the medical companies. Obama sold us out.

Accurate. Like I said, you're just less likely to notice when drug prices spike several times over.

Again, I reiterate, restate, and repeat, IT WAS A WORK IN PROGRESS, but instead of being allowed to progress, it was burned down and thrown out and now we just have a worse version of what we had before Obama.

But you like to ignore that part.

If you dont support Bernie, just admit it. You refuse to listen to him, you refuse to vote alongside him, clearly you do not support Bernie Sanders. You don't have to, just stop lying about it.
I refuse to lose. I do support Bernie, I will be voting for Biden. Be he was wrong to drop out, and he gave up this country to Trump. I wanted Bernie to win, not for Biden to lose.
But because you're okay with that I guess you support Trump now.

A vote for Biden over Bernie is a vote for Trump. Biden is simply admitting Democrats don't know how to beat Trump, and supporting Biden is simply supporting 4 more years of Trump. They are one and the same.
I feel like this is true in a few ways. On the one hand, electing biden is throwing away the election anyway. He's unelectable.

But on the other hand, I'm not sure he's a much better choice. If you vote for biden, you still voting for an accused sexual abuser. Your still voting for someone who supported racist policies, and voted against gay marriage. Is the moral argument that he's the rapist with better policies? If we're using morality as an argument, then the best option is probably the green party. Anyone else is selling out your ideals (which you may feel is necessary if your a pragmatist).

Yes, because I pointed out that it wasn't a start. Of course, if it helped the people but wasn't fully there, I'd say continue with it.

The problem is is that there is a solution that will work, is extremely popular, less convoluted, and relies on a system already in place.
But it doesn't help big pharma, so it's pushed aside. Instead we got a solution that's not a solution, that even if it did work would be less efficient, and doesn't even do what it's supposed to do. It doesn't even take a step to doing what it's supposed to do.

If you're going to stand behind your anecdote in the face of verifiable facts, I'm just going to throw an anecdote against yours.

So on top of that, it doesn't actually work.

If you want more anecdotes, I have a friend who's been unemployed for several years, whom ACA almost made lose his house because the increase in costs pushed him above what he was scraping by with the occasional contract work.

People like to say Trump and Biden are the same, except they use that description to claim that Biden is 'unelectable' but Trump isnt? That does not make sense. If they are the same, then why say they are different? If they are different, why claim they are the same?

If only we kept working on it and fixed it. It was not perfect, but it did not help no one. It did not help everyone either, but it was a better start than we had. But again, none of you want to admit that change takes time and effort.

I suppose the argument is that he's assaulted less people and has been caught saying the N-word less times than Trump, therefore Yay Biden!
I mean it is sad the self-same celebrities who started the MeToo movement are now saying Biden's accusers are lying and we should just elect him. Don't get me wrong I'll vote for Biden, but I'm willing to admit voting for him does break my morals of not voting for a sexual abuser, racists, homophobic, transphobic, sexists terminally ill and mentally gone old man. If nothing else we can just say Biden at least has previous experience in Government, whereas Trump is still just an amateur.

But these circles we draw are all moot, because as you said Biden is unelectable and Trump will again. And apparently "losing with no dignity, self-respect or principles" is the new Democratic slogan.

It's not better though. Actual proof has been provided that it is not better than the old system.

Oh no, you misunderstand me. I'm not voting for Biden because I like him, want him to be president or think he can win. I'm voting for him because Bernie asked me to, and its better than not voting. But i am fully aware given Biden's past with women and their crotches, his racists/sexist/homophobic/transphobic voting record and clear mental decline I am fully a hypocrite, because I didn't want any of those and saw them as negatives.

I mean morally they are very similar. In terms of electability, biden is unelectable because he's terrible at running for office. He stumbles over his own words, he's bad at debate, and his tout bus has "malarkey" written on it.

Trump is electable because he quick whitted, brash, funny, and capable of marketing himself while making his rivals look foolish.

This doesn't mean trump is a good person. Electability and morality are seperate.

A vote for Biden is a vote for his administration too. You do understand that, don't you? It is a vote for Supreme Court Justices with morals. I am sure Ginsburg would love to retire with a clear conscience. It is voting for people who will take this epidemic that will still be around by the way, seriously. A vote for Trump is mostly just for Trump and McConnel.

Oh no, you misunderstand me. I'm not voting for Biden because I like him, want him to be president or think he can win. I'm voting for him because Bernie asked me to, and its better than not voting. You clearly have mixed Trump with someone else. Trump stumbles over his own words, he's bad at debate, he is a textbook narcisist, he is slow-whitted, brash, rash, unfunny, disturbed, racist as fuck, sociopathic, and incapable of marketing himself, and often makes himself look foolish.

Sums it up.
"The ACA was a step forward, but 29 million remain uncovered, and the epidemic of under-insurance is out of control," said Dr. Steffie Woolhandler, a member of PNHP's Board of Directors, in a statement. "We need to move ahead from the ACA to a single-payer, Medicare for All system that assures first-dollar coverage for everyone."

Instead of moving toward a Medicare for All system, she said, "The Trump administration and Republicans in several states are taking us in reverse: cutting Medicaid, threatening to gut protections for the more than 61 million Americans with pre-existing conditions, and allowing insurers to peddle stripped-down policies that offer no real protection."

Indeed, it does say to abandon ACA for M4A, which has been my position.

And that ACA was a stepping stone towards that is mine. You refuse to accept that you cannot just jump over the whole river at once.
The article disagrees. Also reality, since ACA is an expansion of the old system. It doesn't actually do anything new, which is why of course it doesn't help people. M4A passing will be the death of ACA as it should be.
