"Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential “drive-by” just now has to be quarantined for 14 days."

I thought that the President has their own compartment, separate from the driver's compartment? That's how the limo was. There's a divider between the back seats and the front seats.

Do we know enough about the construction and the internals of the SUV to know that there aren't separate compartments?
The Limo can pull that off because of its size, and even though American SUV's are fairly large it would probably be both cost prohibitive and make it shitty to ride in to do the same with a Chevy Suburban. Much more efficient to just hermetically seal the whole car.

Okay.

If I were designing a multi-million dollar vehicle, made to protect and transport the country's most important VIP, I'd throw in redundant air conditioning systems, so that even if the front compartment were compromised, the President's compartment wouldn't be, and then I'd bill for the extra hours.

But okay.

The vehicle likely has it's own oxygen system like his others do due to being sealed for chemical attack, not a normal air conditioning system, however, I do not think this vehicle even has separate compartments from the video footage I saw, it didn't look like it, it looked like Trump had his hand on the front passengers seat at one time and when he drove by the other cameras, it does not look like there is anything separating the back from the front at all.

The Presidential Limo I believe is such car as you describe; designed from the ground up using an existing wheelbase. The SUVs though I think are bought as part of a Fleet arrangement with GM and modified after the fact.

Yea, sounds like trump being his usual dumbass self is pissing off his Physicians too:

He isn't holding back how he feels about this, don't blame him though, he is 100% right. I was making similar comments when I saw that BS too.:
hhhhmmmmm an unverified Twitter account. It's an old one but looking at some 2012 - 2013 tweets it seems too "Chummy" the be some official medical directors account.

I'll take that account with a large table spoon of salt as it could just be an old account that changed it's handle recently.

You would have a fantastic point if the only protocol we had was masks.

It isn't.

-Social distancing.

-Do not attend events with more than 50 people

It was reported that nearly 200 seemingly all maskless people attended the event.

-Washing hands

... can't comment on that. But I really doubt they were exclusively washing their hands while this event was going on.

So. Yes. All the things even kindergarteners were taught, they ignored for a political stance. And they are now sadly suffering for that. Pointing out the facts isn't a dunk. It is pointing out facts.
That's the rose garden event the spread has been traced back to the debates themselves apparently I posted the link to Yahoo news earlier which cited the Health board / tracing arm of the state the debates too place in.

Don't you think " the Hill" would know whether or not it was a fake account? THIS is why sources are important. They check things like that. You grabbing random crap on the internet =\= the Hill publishing an article. That is why they have people to verify that information themselves, that is why they are considered a valid source, and not some rando on Youtube. BTW medical directors are just " people" too silly.

Does any of that remove or change the fact that they are not following protocols, and there by it is not a dunk, but due to political stances have they endangered others? That's all I'm addressing now.

It doesn't change it but it does point out how in a weird move it's not the event where people were ignoring guidelines where the problems occurred but the one where people were said to have been following them more. So it removes a bit of the impact of being able to use that argument (unfortunately)

It's real. CNN had Dr. Phillips on to talk about it, and confirmed with him at the beginning that he sent the tweet. Skip to 3:39 for the relevant bit.

(On a side-note, Dr. Phillips appears to have a... framed picture of Chewbacca in his room/study?)

I can quite assure that when in one of my jobs I was handling viral constructs that demanded they were double sealed in secure chambers during transport and to be opened only in a fume hood with full PPE, there was no rider that these instructions could be ignored just so long as you felt like showing off.

Odd, didn't see hydroxychloroquine on that list of meds he's on...

Of course not, because it's not deemed to be much use. You can dick around with that nonsense when it doesn't matter, but when you fall ill whilst ticking the boxes of several major risk categories, you're probably going to pay a lot more attention to serious medical advice.

The remdesivir is mostly likely to be doing the heavy lifting. Vit D and zinc precautionary, famotidine and melatonin very unproven but theoretically useful and will almost certainly do no harm. Aspirin I'm guessing just as a blood thinner. I saw some rumour of corticosteroids. If they've felt the need to go there, assume it's getting severe.

Have you information of how exactly they followed protocol? Not reported, but how exactly they followed protocol to the letter? Governments, Police, Hell, people paying taxes report a situation, but it doesn't mean they follow it.

Behind closed doors and by themselves, I question if they are actually as stringent. And given the fact that they did catch Covid, it's hard to believe they did.

Oh, I get it, just pointing out that Mr. Trump advocated for hydroxychloroquine as a COVID treatment so strongly, it's a shame he's not doing so now.

To be fair the White House and Secret Service already failed to prevent him from getting Covid. I don't think modern vehicular defense mechanisms were designed to prevent a virus that's already inside from getting inside.

So Trump is getting discharged later today. Claims to be healed and in the best shape in 20 years. After only 3 days of Covid treatment.
Yup. Totally wasn't staged.

You do understand that the majority of people, even older people, who get covid-19 suffer only mild sumptoms, right? Even a fat guy of his age has better than a coin flip of just shrugging it off. If you'd like to consider it a hoax, the most likely explanation is that he is positive for covid, and also totally fine, and going to the hospital was all for show.

Or he's being just as reckless as he was before and ignoring any good practices because that's what he does. I mean, the man did just go on a goddamn limo ride in the middle of his hospital stay for shits and giggles.

The rules don't apply to him, remember? Rules are for suckers. He'll probably go hold another rally even if he's barfing out a lung on stage, because otherwise he'd look "Weak".

This entire administration is a Potemkin village the size of Manhattan.

He also advocated injecting bleach/disinfectant.

As for why he's not using hydroxychloroquine it likely down to his doctors decisions. Some studies, albeit non-clinical ones, have suggested that hydroxychloroquine may reduce the antiviral activity of remdesivir.

You do understand that the majority of people, even older people, who get covid-19 suffer only mild sumptoms, right? Even a fat guy of his age has better than a coin flip of just shrugging it off. While there is some truth to that, there is still the transmission factor to consider. Covid patients typically remain infective for up to two weeks, sometime longer.

If he truly has tested positive, then he should be forced to stay in the hospital. Trumps SUV jaunt just shows that he lacks the discipline to physically isolate himself away from his fawning sycophants for another week. Once discharged he will just declare himself as 'cured' and carry on as normal, potentially spreading covid throughout the White House, and quite possibly to members of the US public.
