Only if you want a safe-space echo-chamber where you only hear views from people who agree with you.

You can always hit show ignored, I mostly use it as a reminder that whoever I’m ignoring isn’t worth giving a fuck about due to various factors, such as lying, idiocy, or both.

Why did she think that? Did she have evidence that white people got different treatment for the same symptoms?
Or did she just enjoy being the victim who blames everything on racism, and now activist journalists are doing the same?

Read this.

Okay.

That doesn't answer the question of why SHE thought that she was being mistreated, though. It doesn't work to say "there are studies out there which say ____ so I was definitely mistreated in my case", nor can it be said "all black people are automatically mistreated because studies exist that say ___"

She's a doctor, so one imagines her complaints about her care were probably well-founded. Especially since she just died.

I don't get why whenever African Americans say that they are in pain, it's nope they are making it up for whatever reason or being hysterical. Pain is pain.

Yeah, it's weird; I had no idea that some people think that the experience of pain significantly varies by race. Who is teaching this to medical students?

Read the thread title, and before reading a single post, I wagered Houseman would have chimed in with his inevitable "nu-uh" contrarian, male cow fecal matter within the first 10 posts; he came in 5th. Nothing if not predictable. But isn't it intellectually engaging?

The exact same thing happens to women. Medical professionals are a lot less likely to think that expressions of pain, verbal or physical, are genuine if the patient is a minority or a woman. And if the professional accepts the expression of pain, they are likely to rate the actual amount of pain as lower then with a man.
Added to this is the generations of possible needless deaths or morbidities that women had to suffer because Male Doctors and Scientists didn't study the uniqueness of the female body. Studies have shown that . women display different symptoms for a heart attack than men. There's eleven more to go through here.

It's sad to realize we've decoded the genome before we've accurately discovered any foolproof systems of protecting half of our population...

... Apropos of nothing, you wanna take a trip to Vegas? Play a few games, see where your deductive skills take us?

That was such an obvious wager, I wouldn't take my being correct in that instance as any indication that I have any knack for actual gambling. But I'l go to Vegas for the shows and booze!
