It's not the best game ever (though what is, is a completely different debate). However the Game is a Masterpiece from both a gaming perspective and a design perspective, and more than well deserving of the praise it gets.

Actually the accents are pretty true to life, however the dialogue itself is what's clunky and is probably why the accent seems off; I believe the problem here is more to do with the writing, American writers tying to write Aussie dialogue is naturally going to come out clunky, stereo-typical...
