Driving isnt scary at all and I got T-boned at 60 mph a week before christmas and was back on the road in less than a month. Now public speaking is some scary shit.
The way I see Halo as still not being generic is that it has a lot of things FPS games still dont have today with the exception of a few. How many FPS games have the deep backstory that Halo has? Most FPS games are just go get this bad guy cuz of this reason. Also look at the level designs...
Halo isnt even generic now. Generic is realistic shooters. Everyone is trying to be COD: MW thats why we have all these brown realistic modern shooters.

He is right, its like racism or gay-bashing. Sure you can try teach people tolerance or whatever but it wont stop anything, there will always be people that dont like others for whatever reason and a portion of that group will actually take it out on the group they hate.
I especially agree with #3. What is a more disturbing image someone getting there head chopped off or shot on tv or in a video game? I can assure you no matter how hard videogame producers try they wont get games to look that realistic. TV is allowing more and more profanity uncensored earlier...
