thanks for the response. I guess that makes sense since the outside environments have TONS of reflections. You get used to it, and it doesn't make the game any less vibrant, but it is something ...to get used to.

I have a pair of 768MB 460's (drivers are 270.61) displaying at 1650x1080, and set (in game) at "high spec." The odd thing is the game's shadows are dithered (dot-dot-dot instead of a darker color). So far, no setting changes have helped, so here I am. Anyone know how to fix this?

I think they are using one of those new voice patterrn-sync engines for the lips, which needs work, since that also means the characters faces can't move. As far as the game, I LOVED the first Witcher. I felt it was a clinic on how to make a good, story-driven rpg. You're exactly right...
