I was just hoping to start a discussion on on-rail arcade shooters. The link was just there (as it always is) as illustration, should anyone want it. I always assume most readers will ignore the link. I apologise for any offence caused:)
All of the hype surrounding Jurassic World 2, whetted my appetite for a bit of Jurassic Park Arcade action from 1994. There was...er something wrong with my game...it kept giving me 'continues'! Still, what's a chap to do? :-)

Despite being rubbish at it, I...
I really like Voodoo Vince too, and Grabbed by the Ghoulies too, which I've just remembered! The latter wasn't well reviewed at the time, if I remember right - I think they tbought it not enough of a 'Rare' game, and too short!
I've recently hooked up my original Xbox and been trawling through my library. There are a lot of PS2 ports on the system, but also a lot of really original titles: Blinx 1&2, Crimson Skies, Fable and Stubbs the Zombie, a real little gem, built using the Halo engine. Anyone else been pleasantly...
More classic game action for me this weekend, as I found myself playing Rom Roulette on an 2600 Emulator (just randomly stopping and clicking on a game in the rom list) and I came across this gem (Spider Fighter). It is odd when you find a game like this, as pretty quickly, you stop seeing the...
Apologies for the poor pun...and the slightly odd topic, but something pulled me back towards Frogger at the weekend. It been had years - perhaps as many as twenty - since I'd last played the game, but once I started playing, it was very difficult to stop. I was - as anyone who watches the...
I haven't had that much time with it so far, but I'm loving what I've seen and played. If anyone's interested, here's my first hour or so in the game, condensed into a fun-sized five-minute bite:-)

I agree on the final "boss" sequence playing like a wet paper bag full of farts, but I actually didn't mind the jetski levels. They did a good job of how they'd be to handle going up a rapid river. Plus it was visually stunning at the time for consoles. Now that I think of it, UC4 is pretty...
I will say this: if the games had to have a supernatural twist I'd prefer the first as well, because they got progressively worse as the series went on. Plus, I personally think the last 2-3 levels of UC1 up until finding El Dorado were some of the best in the first 3 games.
Overall I...
I'm glad they didn't pull a supernatural twist this time. They were never really done right in Uncharted anyways; mostly spoiling the atmosphere like someone throwing a moldy gym sock onto a dinner table in a "Oh by the way, surprise!!" kind of way. The enemies always felt cheaply tacked on...
Everyone had their suspicions that Kratos would be back in some form, and they apppeared to have pullled off the reveal at least, but I don't see them bringing back Nathan Drake in any playable form. If they had his daughter grow up to take his place, then it would be too similar to Tomb...
^There are plenty of people who already think UC is full of fun gameplay, especially 4 in many cases. The point is entirely subjective and nothing to get so irrationally distraught over.
