I don't remember any real problems with Oblivion in terms of bugs. I haven't played it in a while, but there was certainly nothing memorable enough to call it buggy. Fallout 3 and New Vegas have been getting slowly buggier, but I'd have though that would be expected when using the same engine...

Rise of Legends was a fantastic game. It wasn't under-rated so much as not played at all, because its release coincided with some other really popular and anticipated game that I can't remember the name of. As for the most under-rated game, I'd have to say Overlord 2.

To actually *end* the species? Well, first you'll have to get rid of civilisation, so some sort of war would have to come first, I expect. Nuclear weapons would probably be the most likely to cause a permanent end; the actual explosions will do a great deal towards destroying the infrastructure...

I highly recommend getting the game. I'd never played until my girlfriend got me to get the new one, and I seriously could not believe I hadn't played it before. It is timeless, and follows the most important rule in games: Easy to play, hard to master.

Earthbound, easily. Halfway through the game, they ask you for YOUR name. Then at the end, where everybody simultaneously wills your party to succeed, it talks about you willing Giygas to die and you do epic damage. The best way of breaking the wall EVER.

It doesn't really matter if he likes it or not, it's his job to hate it in a funny way. Even if he loves absolutely everything about it, he'll still find a fault somewhere and spend 5 minutes making it funny.
