Valve Closes Down San Francisco Office

Are you making the assertion that making personal income is ALWAYS a better scenario than not making personal income? I'd be willing to debate that one. OT: Meh, could care less, just wanted to respond to that guy. It's great that they still have the keys to the studio though, pretty awesome.

    Easiest Games to Mod/Re-Texture, etc.

I'm asking for games that are easy to make mods for though. I'm trying to make mods, not install others. Unless that's what you're saying, and I'm reading it wrong. Thanks for your post though!

    Easiest Games to Mod/Re-Texture, etc.

Thanks for your answers so far guys. As stated in OP, I'm not doing those, thanks for the suggestion though. Awesome, thanks, I just might pick this up.

    Easiest Games to Mod/Re-Texture, etc.

I've searched similar topics, but each of the threads I found were slightly different than what I wanted to ask, so here we go: Can anyone recommend games with easy-to-get-into modding? It's always been in the back of my mind that I should get into modding, but I'm building a portfolio to...

    Molyjam 2013

This thread will be a discussion of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mvjWZqPnWY Also, fuck me, I don't know how to embed videos. Huh. There's probably a tooltip somewhere around here, but if someone could help me out, I'd be grateful. Molyjam 2012 was awesome. I'm curious as...

    Tutorial Torture

This. I think it was Enter the Matrix that had instructions like, "Press action to do an action. Press kick to do a kick." And Soul Calibur 2 did the same thing (granted, I haven't played many fighting games, so maybe they're all like this, and I'm a slow, slow person). On the combo list...

What is your gamer stereotype breaking hobby?

You've introduced me to something fantastic. Damn. As for myself, I "do" theatre sometimes, as in, I act, sing, etc. on stage. I need to get back into it, but yeah, that's what I've got. In terms of meshing the two, I always wondered what the reaction would be to a "musical" game.

Xbox One Games At E3 were running on a windows 7 with Nividia GTX cards.

Alright... So? People know that games are made on PCs. This forum is for discussion, isn't it? It's not JUST the fact that this shit was being played on a PC. 1. The PCs they were using were higher spec than the Xbox One. MUCH higher. They TOLD people who asked that they were using...

CliffyB Thinks Used Games Are Bad, Sony is "Playing Us"

I agree with you so hard that I had to quote your post just to let you know that. Seriously, it's really frustrating that several things in the industry are being blamed on the consumers. It's also frustrating because, as Kushan said, Cliffy B will defend those practices (and MS and EA) to no...

    Fable: Anniversary Announced!

Well, Peter isn't there anymore, so... maybe things have changed? :p I have to say, I wish there would be a PC port of this anniversary edition. I enjoy this game for whatever reason, probably nostalgia.

I just finished the Walking Dead game (obvious spoilers)

Actually, this is quite odd but apparently when they made the game, they were told that the Lilly in the game was the same as the one in the comics. But then after it was released, it's apparently a DIFFERENT Lilly. So she might not survive... Then again, I think it might go by that...

    Game Narratives with Incomplete Theories

Namely, "the story of the game is ambiguous, and [the] precise meaning hasn't been publically interpreted/clarified by the developer." As for Angelblaze, I can't tell if you're joking, but I've always had that issue (and I think Yahtzee brought it up). Who exactly are the runners? Why are the...

    Game Narratives with Incomplete Theories

I have recently finished Alan Wake and am enjoying browsing the Remedy forums for interpretations of the narrative. I am currently working on my own theory for the game Lone Survivor by Jasper Byrne. These games interest me because you really can't be 100% sure of EVERYTHING in the story...

Questions about the effects of nuclear weaponry

This isn't a request for "advice" so much, as just a few questions. I wasn't quite sure where to ask this, and these happen to be the only forums I frequent, so my apologies if this question seems out of place. I'm writing an analysis for a game, and I'm trying to rationalize that statement...

    It's on single repeat...

As the title suggests, I've been using this for some spirit healing. I don't know why, it's just nice to listen to. Maybe because at that part of the game, you walk around and get things done, so I like to listen to it while I clean/work/do stuff. EDIT: Am I dumb? How do I embed these...
