Ho-ly shit. I don't think any game has brought me that close to tears as that game has.

And who would have thought that a decision we made 3 episodes ago would carry so far and have so much weight. I was kicking myself trying to remember where I had seen that car outside the hotel before.
And I just want to say how much of a badass Lee was for clutching it out for an entire episode with one damn arm!
Although I have to call out Kenny for being an inconsistent bastard, praising me one second and yelling about how he has to shoot me in the head the next. Although he did redeem himself in his sacrifice. (But I mean, come on! A three legged dog could jump higher than you Christa!)

But overall, I had a fun ride with Walking Dead, its rare that I play a game so full of genuine "oh shit" moments and that honestly scared me more than any horror game I've played (and no I haven't played Amnesia yet) and Ill probably start up a second play through in a couple days.

PS. And I couldn't have been the only one to accidentally shoot Molly in the 4th episode right?......Right???

We are here for you. That game needs a support group. Clementine saved Molly in my playthrough.

I decided to put off playing through again straight away, if I forget what happens over time and then go back to it then the experience will be better :*3

So far that's not worked, the game has a way of staying etched into my memory....

I actually wanted to kill Lilly for shooting Carley/Doug, ****.... But no the only thing I could do is hope the walkers did the job for me....

Welcome to the club.

We have tissues.

Wait... you shot Molly? You monster.

Oh, and for that to happen you must have left Clem on her own with a wounded guy.

They don't.

I'm told she appears in the comics in a minor capacity. So she survives, at least for a while.

And with a stalker you know is out there and that she has been in contact with.

From what I understand it's a different Lily. Kirkman did a book about the one who shows up in the comic and her dad has a whole different backstory.

OT: Yes, many feels. So many.
I actually got lucky that I trained Clem with a gun so well because she got the shot off on the walker attacking Molly when I couldn't.

I watched a YouTube LP of it to see the storyline, since I heard it was good and I'm not a fan of point and clicks. Pretty good, for the most part. I wouldn't say I got emotional about it at all, anything involving young children tends to annoy me more than anything else, but it was a solid narrative with some good characters.

Actually, this is quite odd but apparently when they made the game, they were told that the Lilly in the game was the same as the one in the comics. But then after it was released, it's apparently a DIFFERENT Lilly. So she might not survive... Then again, I think it might go by that anime/cartoon logic of: "If they didn't die on screen, they didn't die at all."

I actually think I cried more the second time around.

It definitely doesn't lose it's sting.

I don't think I've ever seen an ending handled more beautifully.

How many of you chose to have Clem shoot Lee, by the way? I decided to not fuck her up anymore than she already was, and just told her to walk away and leave Lee handcuffed.

I didn't know you could handcuff Lee. Had I saw that option, I wouldn't have told her to shoot him.

Then do you mean to tell me you missed that sequence in which the zombie cop is coming for Clem! And you then instinctively trying to grab the bat only realizing that "Oh fuck, right, I'm cuffed!"

That was a giant tip-of-your-seat moment used to give you a swift kick before the emotional goodbye.

I actually saw Two Best Friends play it a while ago, and Matt opted for shooting Lee too. I thought the ending were Clem simply leaves was way more bittersweet, since it shows Clem standing in the door opening as she watches Lee slowly pass away. [small]*sniff sniff*[/small]

I saw it played that way. It is better. I wish I had seen the handcuff icon on Lee.

It's so sneaky too, because it plays with your instinct to move the cursor and grab something as you have been doing the whole game. Only now you suddenly can't in the most dire situation yet. And if you choose to cut your zombie infected hand off it only adds to that.

And that scream Clem gives while it's happening just cuts through you like a knife.

I had her shoot him.

a) I figured it would be better for her to have the closure. It's bad enough that her real parents are shambling around, no need to have the same thing happen to her surrogate father and protector.

b) Lee deserved the... finality, for lack of a better word. I don't much care for the notion of him being a zombie handcuffed to a wall heater.

c) A Clem who fully understands the necessity of putting down the infected regardless of who's face they have is a Clem that is better equipped to survive.

Not that any of it mattered, but hey.

I can definately see this one, and it's likely better for her to realize what needs to be done for her own safety. But I was mostly looking at it in how much more this would totally warp her so shortly after seeing her parents as zombies.

I decided I wouldn't want this too hanging over her for the rest of her life, and choose to not let her have to take that kind of responsibility yet. If only to perserve a bit more of the character I've come to care for.

People keep talking about these things called feelings... maybe it shows what an old, jaded f*** I am but I didn't really approach the ending on any different terms than any other video game. I did love it though.

I had Clem take the shot. Mostly some combination of teaching her to be pragmatic and being anti-leaving loved ones to zombify.
