A Clem who fully understands the necessity of putting down the infected regardless of who's face they have is a CLem that is better equipped to survive.
I can definately see this one, and it's likely better for her to realize what needs to be done for her own safety. But I was mostly looking at it in how much more this would totally warp her so shortly after seeing her parents as zombies.

I decided I wouldn't want this too hanging over her for the rest of her life, and choose to not let her have to take that kind of responsibility yet. If only to perserve a bit more of the character I've come to care for.
I figured that the prospect of undead Lee moaning and twitching in a corner would hang over her more than a Lee who had been sent to his rest in as gentle and painless manner as the situation allowed for.

(Arg, awkwardly worded sentence.)

I don't think I've ever seen an ending handled more beautifully.

How many of you chose to have Clem shoot Lee, by the way? I decided to not fuck her up anymore than she already was, and just told her to walk away and leave Lee handcuffed.
I chose to have Clem not shoot me and just walk away because I purposefully had restrained Clem from ever killing someone. She had never shot or killed a single person and I wanted to keep it that way, since shooting Lee in the face was probably not the best way to start.

Also, that scene... so many tears.

I went with Zhukov's reasoning I wanted clem to be tough and able to make the hard choices the world has changed and she needs to be ready for it I find it weird I made that choice when I started the game I was all for hiding the harshness of it from clem

That was my reasoning behind it too.

Clem and Lee parted ways on their terms.

It wasn't ideal, and it wasn't pleasant, but it was all Lee could give her.

Also, I have a nagging fear that a person is still inside when they become a walker, just trapped in their own decaying body, so a bullet in the head is a mercy in my eyes.

For me there were 2 "OH SHIT!" moments.
1)When Lily shot Carly. I was in denial! I've replayed that episode 2 or 3 times just hoping to prevent it, but nope, Carly is dead. I just wish there was an option to shoot Lily myself.
2)When Lee got bitten. That was the definitive "Shit just got real moment". No happy ending, no hope, just try to do the most good while you're still capable.
And yeah, ending, was very powerful. I didn't let Clem shoot Lee, but only because I felt that that one bullet might be used much better.

Ah walking Dead: the game that took a bunch of "what would you do in a bad situation" hypotheticals and wrote a choose your own adventure game around them. It's actually the beauty of Walking Dead in that you accept every character is disposable, yet you don't get jaded when they do go, and that game was no exception. The ending still hit like a ton of bricks, though playing it as it came out, I'll admit some edge was lost as with the gap between episodes, I'd resigned myself to the reality that that was exactly what they were going to do to me, and my choice had been made well before release date. As we'd seen 5 minutes earlier, Walkers, even trapped ones, are dangerous, and leaving Lee to turn was a potential death on their heads. Not fun seeing Old Yeller from the point of the dog, but it had to be done.

Pretty much the only part I outright disliked. Especially as it still happens even if you lie and say you were the one to blame.

I also felt that the episodes slowly got a little worse as they went along. They were never bad, but I found certain points a little harder to be immersed in than I did before.

I am very much looking forward to Season 2.

I've played through it once and watched two LPs on it.
The squaring off with the kidnapper at the end is actually kind of funny.
I actually did a good job taking care of Clem and was able to defend all of my decisions, so the argument basically went...
"You're terrible, you did that one thing"
"No. That's not the whole story and you know it. I made the best decision for the situation."
"Oh well... you're still... I'm going to kill you to prove I'm not crazy."

OT:
I've never seen anyone shoot Molly. I didn't even know that was possible.
I guess she won't be coming back in the sequel (at least not for you).

EDIT:
I think the game would have been a lot better if it was possible to fail or make it so it's impossible to survive or at least not without a huge cost, and not know it for ten or fifteen minutes.

I finished the game 2 days ago. I didn't cry at the end, also i was close. Instead i had to take a long walk afterwards to process everything that happened.

A little bit OT, but while i loved the story telling, i had some issues with it as a game (aside from the fact that one could argue about wheter it really is a game or more of a visuel novel). I felt like (don't know wheter its true) that there were a lot more cutscenes and much less game play in the last 2 episodes, which annoyed me somewhat. Also, sometimes what the game made of a decision what quite different than what i thought had happened. My main complain is letting Ben die in the bell tower: as no one was around when i made the decision, i expected to either get away with or at most get doubted when i tell the others that i couldn't save him. Instead everyone was completly clear that i decided to let him did. In a game where your decisions matter that much, it should always be clear what the consequences of your actions will be.

Also, i wish the ending would have depended more on your choices. The "cuting your arm off" decision didn't matter at all. The stranger storyline is mostly the same wheter you decide to take the stuff from the car or not. I also would have liked Ben and wheter you let him live or die playing a more important role. My idea for example would be that if you let Ben live, he leaves the city with Omid and "forgot her name", but decides to come back to look for you, so the after credits are him finding Clem and helping her leave the city. When you instead let him die, the after credits show Clem alone in the city and an uncertain fate. Would have rewarded you for doing the "right" thing and sticking with a char that what mostly useless or even dangerous for the group and annoying as hell.

I thought the "Big Reveal" of the stranger's identity was underwhelming. Another complaint was that it gave the player VN style choices but unlike a VN they never change the ending, just a minor detour and it gets back on track. Will still play the next season of it.

Yeah the part where she got grabbed in the school by the zombie and it went immidiantly into that first person shooting mode.
I clicked the mouse in a panic is soon as it happened but the sights were initially on molly so i couldn't move them fast enough ;_;

I watched a YouTube LP of it to see the storyline, since I heard it was good and I'm not a fan of point and clicks. Pretty good, for the most part. I wouldn't say I got emotional about it at all, anything involving young children tends to annoy me more than anything else, but it was a solid narrative with some good characters.
It's less point-and-click and more choose-your-own-adventure. While watching a LP is good, it doesn't hold a candle to an actual playthrough. You connect to the characters in your own way and everyone of your decisions has a repercussion. And Clem isn't an annoying child, she's extremely level headed considering the circumstances but still has her childish sensibilities (naïvety, blunt honesty, absolute morals, etc.). She was my favourite character because of the experiences and conversations I had had with her as Lee. If I have a kid, I hope they turn out half as well as her by age 20.

I stopped after the first episode. I felt nothing for any of the characters & didn't care if they lived or died. Have to say it's my least favorite Telltale series. Stopped watching the TV series after season 2 as well.
