    Best 10 year old CRPG

What are some of people's favorite CRPGs from 10 years ago or so?

    Play by post help

I'm thinking of running a play by post game for some geographically diverse friends. And was looking for advice. Specifically, is there a good website out there to run it on? I'm going to try and avoid lengthy tactical combat, so a battle mat isn't really important. Any other...

Crisis in "The Name of the Wind" - Spoilers

So I'm currently about 100 pages from the end of The Name of the Wind and I've entirely lost interest. There have been moments in the book that I've really enjoyed: Kvothe's training with Ben, the killing of the troupe and when the chandrian showed up. I also really like the story within a...

    Starting D&D...

DnD is a great option. If you already have a group with a good setup, that is a good way to go. If you are still looking for a good system, I would recommend something with less focus on tactical combat (you can drop that part of D&D, but it is a pretty huge component to the game) such as...

    Surprise Trip

Lets say you find out in a weeks time you'll be off to Westros (Game of Thrones). You can't avoid the trip and you have no idea how long you'll be there. What would you do to prepare?

What'd you name your Shepard and why?

I wanted to move away from the default John, just to not use the default. So I went with the equally generic Jack. After enough hours in that I didn't want to restart, I realized the similarity to the Lost character. (I even think this is the character that I've pulled through ME2).

    Half-Life 2 mod

There was an article recently (last week or so) here that talked about an interesting Half-Life 2 mod, and I can't remember the name of the mod or find the article. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Tips for a first time Civilization player

Everyone is right, the learning curve is damn steep. Play the tutorial just to get an idea of what the different facets are. Easy is there for a reason. Start on the easiest setting and with only 2-4 civilizations. And remember never play when you have something else to do in the near future.

    Mouse Education

I've had a variety of corded ones, primarily the basic Dell or Microsoft variety. As for the accuracy issue, sluggish is probably a better description. I stop moving my hand and it takes half a tick for the cursor to stop too.

    Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines.

I played it when it first came out. I never patched it, and it was buggy but playable. Honestly, if your even moderately interested the price is right. If you do run into problems, patch then.

    Mouse Education

I bought my very first cordless mouse a while ago, Logitech M310, and have been horribly disappointed by its accuracy. I know that this is a cheap mouse (that is sort of why I bought it), I'm willing to spend the cash to get a better one, but I'm wondering if cordless mice are just inherently...

    Anime Recommendations

Anybody have recommendations for some good Anime? Specifically something with a good overarching story that ends. E.g. Fullmetal Alchemist. Thanks.
