    Scythes in Games

Looking at that war scythe... it's a naginata. It's not even a scythe anymore. Yes, if you want to argue that a scythe that has been turned into a naginata is a weapon, I will give you that. In the same context, a rake is an excellent weapon if you take off the head and replace it with a sharp...

Hardest dificulties that are ACTUALLY BLOODY HARD!

Crysis. Your nanosuit seems all but useless when unsuited enemy infantry outflank you on all sides all the time and fill you up with bullets before you realize they're there.

    Scythes in Games

The falx is not a scythe. The haft is not at a right angle to the blade like a scythe. The haft is shorter and not curved. This is a different weapon altogether - much more like the halberd or naginata as I mentioned above.

    Scythes in Games

This would be a good point, but a battle scythe is not a thing. At no point in history has any culture ever used a scythe as a weapon. If you still disagree, I await your attempt at using a scythe in this manner. A halberd can cut in multiple directions and be utilized and maneuvered in the way...

Does anyone still give a crap about Lord Of The Rings?

This is hardly news. Though anybody interested in fantasy literature still very much cares about LOTR and all of Tolkien's work because all fantasy that has been released since then has been inspired/influenced by it. It also connects us to our literary heritage by way of Tolkien's influence...

It's the zombie apocalypse choose your weapon

A semiautomatic rifle would be first on my list, like the rifles that the U.S. Army carries. M4 I think. Second would be a desert eagle for close quarters engagement. Finally, for melee combat as it were, a single-handed broadsword would be best, maybe a basket-hilt claymore. It's a good...

    Scythes in Games

Scythes are not weapons. THREAD OVER. To go a bit more into detail, A scythe would be a poor choice of weapon, even in a game. The underside of the scythe blade is sharp, kind of like a reverse machete. Also, it's engineered to cut in a "scooping" motion, at or below the knees. The problem...

Ubisoft Says Always-On DRM, "A Success"

I'll leave out the quotes since it's getting a little crazy. I think the reason that Steam is not accused of being crazy DRM is because it's not - STEAM is something the user chooses. One of the main reasons to choose steam is that when you buy a game in steam, it works. Steam patches it for...

Ubisoft Says Always-On DRM, "A Success"

Where have you been for the last FOREVER? Digital Rights Management is not, in itself a bad thing. It's the measure that all publishers take to prevent their property from being stolen. The trouble with this sort of DRM - the kind that requires your internet connection to be live at all times -...
