Burger/Bacon butties before bed normally does the trick. so does continuing to drink, or swapping to Jagerbombs midway through the night. those things are basically a soft-drink, i swear.

Long walks in the dead of night. The scent of wet, freshly cut timber. Listening to Gary Moore, Hendrix, Clapton, SRV, Rush, Zeppelin.. All or any combination of these is normally enough to lighten my mood and relax.

Cold beer, guitar hooked up to an amp and just cutting loose for a couple hours. Comic books, a decent game or not-so-decent movie. (hi, iron sky!) Also, Gangnam style.

No Steve Harris (of Iron Maiden) yet? i mean, the basslines in some of their songs are more memorable than the guitar parts (Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Clairvoyant, and Run to the Hills for example).

Accidentally deleting my Ninja Gaiden save on the original xbox. just after i'd beaten the fire dragon. I know it was my own fault, but i've still not tried again. Also, Skyrim lost 120+ hours of my first, fully maxed out character.

I love the way that, in order to sign the petition opposing being monitored further, you need to provide to the Govt. a valid email address, and your actual address. all the better to allow tracking as a potential troublemaker, i suppose..

The Imperial Guard books are often a very good choice (with the exception of redemption corps, by Rob Sanders), and i'm going to continue adding support for Ciaphus Cain, Gaunt's Ghosts and especially the Last Chancers if you can find it. Also of note are the Space Marine Battles series...

Not so much scary, as strange is that we have a doorbell that goes off at random, and with songs that aren't actually programmed into it. we've checked there wasn't anyone at the door each time, and even removed the batteries, yet it still continues, even in the middle of the night.

Also, Llamas with hats. It's quite possible i'm a terrible, terrible person for finding these hilarious.
