It depends on the game. I would really like co-op multiplayer for 2 people in Skyrim for instance. It doesn't fit in story based RPG's like Dragon Age on the other hand.

There are a lot of good people in The Witcher. A good person doesn't have to be a saint you know.

People have different tastes which is why there are so many gaming genres. In general imo, if you are playing games that you are having fun with you are a good gamer. If you are playing games you do not have fun with you are a bad gamer.

I am still playing. For now i see no reason to stop playing. Maybe a reason for your colleagues leaving is that as students they have a lot of free time (i know as a student i had), so they just burned out of the game by playing non-stop.
