Most "holy shit" inducing game section ever?

As a kid, I had a WTF moment when I finally encountered Andross's true form in Star Fox 64. Also, I played Space Quest 4, and as I was too stupid at the time to figure out what I was supposed to do, I would always run into the zombie thing and the cutscene that occurs before getting killed was...

Zero Punctuation: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

I agree that the water temple level isn't that hard, for the exact same reason that Yahtzee mentioned. Pausing the game constantly for the iron boots was annoying, but really, that was it. Personally I found Level 7 in Oracle of Ages to be my least favorite water dungeon in the series, because...

Games Where You Shape the World

I see, but that description is still kind of vague. In Okami, your actions rejuvenate the world by blooming trees and whatnot, but you do that as part of the plot and not as a "choice" like in Mass Effect. Are you asking about that games that give you the choice to impact the world in different...

Games Where You Shape the World

It sounds like you're looking for a game that has some elements of a god sim, but isn't one. The main ones I'm thinking of are Legend of Mana, Minecraft, and Okami.

Have you ever "got" the girl/guy?

Never managed to get the girl. The closest I ever got was in my junior year of high school, where I gave a girl I liked a stuffed animal on her birthday. And then she never talked to me again. Depressing, to say the least, but it was for the best.

I'm an antisocial loner, Help !

This is only tangentially related, but you're not antisocial. People who are antisocial are sociopaths who basically hate everybody, and they usually end up as serial killers or whatnot. You're actually asocial, which simply means you're not that comfortable in social situations. As for your...

I need help choosing a college so I'm asking the Internets!

This is VT's game design club. However, judging from the screenshots, their products seem...unimpressive to me, but hey, it looks like fun. http://www.vtgamingproject.org.vt.edu/ Compare to what I think is UVA's game design club. Their games look alright, but I'm only judging from the...

I need help choosing a college so I'm asking the Internets!

Hey, I'm going to Virginia Tech next year to major in Computer Science. However, I'm not planning on using my degree for video games, though it could be a possibility. UVA and VT's CS programs don't focus on video game development very much, though the skills taught are very useful for...

    Best N64 Game

A few people already mentioned Mystical Ninja. I really enjoyed that game and played it to heck when I was a kid. Maybe it's not so good today but at least it still has kickass music. I should also mention Goemon's Great Adventure, or Mystical Ninja 2. It's a traditional platformer instead of a...

A game no one seems to remember. O_O

I never really liked that game, for some reason. However, I have played its SNES sequels (Ganbare Goemon 2, 3, and 4, which were 100% in Japanese) and enjoyed them though I could only finish 2. While the third game was another "Mario meets Zelda," the others were your typical sidescrollers...

A game no one seems to remember. O_O

The Mystical Ninja games on the N64. The first one is a "Mario 64 meets Zelda 64" type of game, while the sequel is an old-school sidescroller more by the likes of Super Mario World. Both games had fun gameplay, amazing music, and (in the sequel's case) very challenging difficulty. However, the...

Developers you simply don't trust to make good games

I have to agree with Sonic Team. I applaud the effort that went into Sonic 4 so far, but I'm highly doubtful for Sonic Colors. I'm also going to mention Neversoft working on the Guitar Hero series, since Guitar Hero World Tour killed my interest in the games thanks to shoddy peripherals from...

Vanquish could be an awesome third person shooter

Looks pretty sweet. However, there is room for skepticism because Japanese developers aren't quite as experienced in first/third person shooters than western developers. The only notable shooters I know from the top of my head is a few capcom ones: RE4, RE5, and a game that started with P.N...

The Best Free Indie Games Ever Published

I really enjoyed Yahtzee's 1213. Fun gameplay with a powerful ending. His Chzo Mythos series is also worth checking out, as well as Art of Theft, though I couldn't finish out of frustration.

are there ANY bioware rpgs that are bad

I would have said Kotor 2, except that Bioware did not have much input in its development. I loved Kotor 1 but the sequel's bugs turned me off. Otherwise, Bioware hasn't really made any bad games. Sonic Chronicles might be the "worst," but it's still a very good game overall.
