Honestly, to me it felt like they just forgot to take the karma system out of fallout 3. I never paid attention to what my karma was. It doesn't even make a difference game-wise, as far as I could tell - reputation is way more important.

It's a lot like Fallout 3 but it does things much, much better. The main plot actually has branches and options. You can actually join the evil faction if you want to. There are a bunch of memorable characters. The setting is better thought out and (to me) much more interesting. You can get rich...

I honestly think the number of people here who like HL2 are absolutely DWARFED by the number of people complaining about how everyone seems to love HL2. It really is amazing.
