I think that some horror games have done that. Like, walking around then suddenly your perspective switches to some monster that's right behind you. Also text adventure games. Like "Ye get ye flask"

No, it's because of idiot soldiers being idiots. If they can't do their job, it's because they weren't trained well. They're just trying to make it so the officers are given a free pass from being terrible officers.

I like good gameplay. If it doesn't have any action, fine. If it barely has a story, I'm okay. I just want something to enjoy.
