The problem as I see it is that there aren't too many other large military actions since WWII that would make America look good enough to justify making a game about it. Any military actions before that time run up against the issue of the played being too detached from the old military tactics...
1. Loading screens without progress bars.
2. Unskippable cutscenes. (Seriously...I know the back story if I've played it before. While i appreciate the chance to get up and get a drink or stretch for a quarter of an hour I'd rather get on with it.)

I did the same thing. I bought every house in the game, organized it, stored the keys there by town in case my character dropped by.
My biggest habit: the stealth character. Regardless of format, if there is a stealthy, sneaky sort...I'm playing him.
