I would like them to make the same games I want every other video game company to make: games I didn't know I wanted. Those are the best games, in my opinion.

Your question implies that you have in your mind a period in video game history when innovation was definitely "alive." Before I answer your question, I have to ask you one first: What is that period?

I've never understood this sentiment that a video game series has gone on "too long." How are we as a video game community poorer or worse off because they're making another Halo? Or another Final Fantasy? Or another Call of Duty? If people did not want the games, they wouldn't buy them...

Why do most video game characters never need to eat, sleep, drink, or relieve themselves? Also, over what time spans do the Pokemon video games take place? A couple of days? Why is Ash able to become the world's greatest trainer in a couple days?

Well, to be honest, I made the original post under the impression that Vulpix had 3 tails. So 27 would be the next step in the mathematical progression. (Vulpix = 3^1, Ninetales = 3^2...) With this newfound insight, I'll have to remove Ninetales from my list and replace him with Corsola...

Ah, I see. Thank you for the insight. It's been so long since I last played DK 64, and I've been jonesing for it lately. Nostalgia's a bee-etch.
