There is a difference between being generic and being simple.

Fair point. I am guessing DC has since developed some new connections or some influences over at Rotten Tomatoes tipped the scales. On all counts I would rate Wonder Woman relatively on par with the movies you just mentioned.

It was a good balance insofar as making his pick-rate across all tiers of play decrease and removing a core part of his design, is balance. However that would not reasonably be called balance, but can reasonably be called imbalance.
