The whole problem with Destiny is that Bungie wants people to respect the reward loop they have in the game, but it's just not good enough.
Play a Crucible match, get top marks, find out you get nothing and the guy who caused the losing team to lose just got a Rare or Legendary.
Go to the...
I used to look at games Strategy First put out and thought "Oh, I might want to try that." After about four years I've put them aside in my mind as shovelware peddlers and unfortunately they KEEP doing it which makes it harder still to find games I'd actually like.
You know who did this right? Square Enix with Final Fantasy XIV. A terrible launch in 2010, but brought forward a redevelopment with what is a great game. They apologized but they made up for it and continue to keep themselves in line.
This is indicating nobody's smart enough to avoid this crap. Considering my SteamID is almost 10 years old and has a lot of my history with it, I'm absolutely paranoid about losing it. You can deal with the Steam Community in a safe manner, it just takes due diligence to check links and frankly...
Unfortunately, people don't. A lot of people have faith that businesses will operate in the best interest of their customers when it hasn't been that way for a long time.
I ****ing knew that EA was going to pull freemium bull**** in Garden Warfare which is why I didn't touch it, especially...
No. I don't use Facebook and I don't use Twitter. I am not keen on giving a third party access to personal information when only the Escapist has reasonable expectations to know how I am (especially since I'm a subscriber.)
This is a subscriber saying no here, and it's becoming more and more...
It's too bad the contest requires you to register on yet-another-site or expose yourself on Twitter and/or Facebook. Good to see Facebook is still a way to skew fairness for things like this too. Eh.. I guess I'll ignore future contests.
That's not quite what Early Access is about, and why Early Access isn't intended for people who are looking to make a normal purchase. That said, with the abuse Early Access has put on Steam lately, I can see why this sentiment is growing but with your examples of the "bad ways" to do it, I find...
No, it most certainly was. Balance changes were made in reaction to inflation on the market in which for people who played on their own, got royally screwed by the changes.
It was about generating more income than Blizzard deserved and the RMAH was the core of many of their damaging...
I was cleaning off one of my counters while getting ready to send back a failed motherboard and found my old World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade box. Out of curiosity (my WoW playing days are over), I opened the box to take a look at all the artwork they put on it along with screenshots and...
It's not like you can get access to Titanfall without owning a full license anyway. You have to have the game pre-loaded and a key attached to your account for the work-around to work in the first place.
"It's unfair to get a head start" people claim, well.. perhaps we should start demanding...
That or you're just lucky and didn't get hit by it. Even with my legitimate browsing (IE: No Pronz) I was served a milicious advertisement from a sidebar on a machinima site as well as one from Gamespot. Both of these I reported, but that was enough for me to want to clamp down on the whole...
