I like older games way more than newer ones, and therefore cannot possibly be forced to part ways with my Atari 2600 or the ability to enjoy many games in the arcades.
But to be honest, DigDug, Pac Man, and Tetris....none of those were made by Atari.
These are all titles I own from my collection :D
NES:
Contra - It's a run and gun, and possibly the most popular game featuring the Konami Code
Gauntlet - an arcade port of a top-down adventure game, which supports two player multiplayer and has always continued to be very enjoyable with...
I don't mind spelling errors that much, or the Toan problem either. I'm pretty much only thankful at this point that it got a US release, unlike a lot of games I would love to see.
And I also would love to see a Pokemon Snap sequel...but it probably won't happen. Maybe one that has more...

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess (also reccommend the film)
Lord of the Flies by William Golding
Diaspora by Greg Egan
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Siddhartha by Herman Hesse

Did Dark Cloud 1 have bugs? I didn't notice anything other than the no-key-in-sun-and-moon-temple glitch, which wasn't a big deal for me. It was a pretty solid game.
Dark Cloud 2 however, sucks pretty bad. I like its atmosphere, but the story is definitely spotty and just all over the...
Can't recall for sure, but would probably be a Bandit from Fable, i'd probably raid the US government with them a la Robin Hood. Oh wait...all they have is deficit.
